I think there is a secure middle ground for managing accounts and passwords. Personnally, it was annoying to have to reenter the same info every week. Some accounts I go low tech and use the same password on every site. Some accounts like banks, I don't. I have multiple passwords depending on how secure I want to be. If someone wants to get into a forum using my ID and I find out, I'll change it. But until then, I'll take the highway and not login every day.

I rarely clean out cookies - make once every couple of years.

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. Does anyone else experience this? Every week or so I have to re-enter my login information or I am not logged in when visiting this site. I have setup the login each time to "remember my login info". That works for about a week. Is this due to a setting on my PC or the way the web site works for everyone?

I've used gimp (available free at www.gimp.org). It has ability to do lots of things like animate gifs. it also can resize images.

I'll probably be cleaning mine up at the last minute. I'm installing hardwood in the house now and it is taking all of my spare time away. Looks to be a HOT one this weekend, but thankfully not as hot as Charlotte was last year.

If you have a program to edit pictures, try opening it in a picture editor, resizing it, saving it, and then posting it to the gallery or photobucket.

port 80 is the standard port for internet browser. If your router is setup with default config, it should allow that port throught to your computer. you did not mention if you're having problems connecting to other web sites. It could be the settings on your router. it is kind of hard to go over everything in a message forum that could be wrong. do you know how to do a "ping" test or check your router settings? also as someone else mentioned try all of the different dns names for this site (fgmcc.com, firstgenerationmontecarlo.com, etc..). check and compare dns settings when connected directly to the modem and the router (using CMD command prompt window on computer - command is ipconfig /all). Also are you wired directly to your router or on wireless to the router?

I've seen this kind of thing with XP Home (one way connectivity). XP Pro handles networked computers much better. You did not say what version of XP you are using.

Andreas, My Monte took home a NMCA Top 20 award on Saturday as well. Congrats to all of the other winners - there were alot of outstanding Monte's at this meet and I was happy to see the NMCA take notice of our cars.
