Here's what the Large ones look like. There is a NOS set on FB up here near me that have been for sale forever (can't remember if they are front or rear. They certainly are different!

Saw this on FB. I know it's not what you're looking for but an interesting project. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1625391737866955?ref=category_feed&referral_code=undefined&referral_story_type=listing&tracking={"qid"%3A"-2427507610523234966"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"24860676106910567"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A24860676106910567%2C\"target_type\"%3A0%2C\"primary_position\"%3A0%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A4006759294204764308%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A504%2C\"value\"%3A4.0596177141693e-5%2C\"candidate_retrieval_source_map\"%3A{\"24860676106910567\"%3A111}}"%2C"ftmd_400706"%3A"111112l"} -
What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?
monte70z20 replied to Canuck's topic in General 70-72 Monte Carlo Forum
Luckily that's not an (Expensive) issue for me...yet! Premium pump gas seems to be fine (91 Octane). -

Nothing like the smell of fresh exhaust on a chilly winter's day, too!! -
Maybe a good project. Price seems reasonable - https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace/1e7275dr/cpmonte/29d99801-d035-4d2f-a09a-9348085b0d2e

Hopefully the video uploaded. Too nice a day to not take her out for a little rip around the block. Roads were dry so hopefully salt not an issue. Monte_20240204.mp4 -
Not sure if this is the correct piece but you can try these places to see what they have: https://nationalcarburetors.com/Chevrolet-1971-402-454-Rochester-4MV_p_1279.html https://quadrajetpower.com/chevrolet-1971-402-454-4-speed-quadrajet-7041201/

Tom: I'm not sure if this is what this conversation is about but I ended up modifying mine to make it fit my "Champion Cooling" 4 core rad. It is pretty rough but it works and I'm sure you could do a better job than me. I'm not that skilled with a cut off saw, so it came out "WAY" less than perfect. I also modified the rad support in similar fashion. Also FYI, if you haven't bought the insulator pads, I previously bought a set of insulators for a stock 4-core rad, for a '70 Monte, and the short/top pieces did not sit properly on the after market aluminum 4-core. I ended up needing the 2 (stock) longer pieces that the rad sits on (bottom pieces). This is what allowed the rad and the "radiator top plate" to sit properly with the aftermarket rad. Hope this with the attached pictures makes sense.

Steve, wishing you a speedy recovery. My wife is going through some difficult times with her back. So I have some idea what you have gone through. I hope all goes well and you get back to 100%. All the best!

Was bored so started "surfing" and came across a bunch of Monte articles on the Chevy Hardcore website. Not sure if anybody has seen the Youtube video in the article below but I thought I'd post the link here if anybody wants to take a look at this apocalyptic creation. Also saw a nice review of Dan's "slap stick" conversion and pictures of what looked like FGMCC cars lined up at a couple of the Carlisle events. https://www.chevyhardcore.com/news/video-mad-max-ing-it-in-ron-griffiths-eclectic-monte-carlo/

Makes sense now. Thanks a bunch!!!👍

Thanks for the very quick reply. Can you elaborate? What is it that makes them different are the mounting pin positions different? I have one for a '71 but my Monte is '70. When I look at "Parts Place" they look the same. Appreciate the help.

Hoping this is the forum for this post. Are the 1970 and 1971 "BY CHEVROLET" emblems that mount under the rear "Monte Carlo" the same/interchangeable?

I just read these latest posts and now have to go sit in my chair for a nap. The thought of riding my bike made me tired...lol!
