  2. I really wish they would build a track here on L.I. which would attract bigger shows, which, in turn would eventually land the Eastern Meet here, which means I could attend and race at the same time and.........put Capri in charge of the leg work lol. Doing a great job Cap...your work does not go un-noticed...and I'll ship the pizza lol Jim

  5. I just used a dab of black silicone. Its been on about 2 years now. Jim
  6. It will be for home use. She loves how fast a laser printer is and she wants color because we end up with all the good candid kid pics on the digital camera or the phone camera. I don't want to be "cheap" about it, just looking for the best bang for the buck. The toner price is a big consideration since we have a 5 yr old that loves to print off dinsey stuff to color lol Jim
  7. Who let the F@#$ in the end of the line in the first shot? They need 20 lashes with a wet noodle hahahaha:)
  8. My wife wants a laser color printer. I have nooooooo clue.....where do I start?? Thanks Jim

  11. Were they trying to sell Mary Ann again? lol
  12. Hey...I've been to the track twice !!! lol
  13. Too bad we can't do some kind of track rental in conjunction with the meet. Have the meet Thurs-Sun and rent a local track for, say, Monday, I'm sure most of us "racers" would hang out for the extra day. Jim
  14. As long as it moves north, I am good...and I believe the L.I. crew would agree. Jim
  15. I think any kind of grill work needs a removals of the grill, a comfortable chair, a big t.v. with a nice long football game or nascar race, and a few..ummm...beverages. Someday I will do mine after milking all of you for all your trail and error results...yes I am that lazy. Sorry, I know I am no help as far as suggestions, but I learn from the rest of you. Jim

  20. The carb I have is great, best one ever made...hahahahaha I will worry about the carb once I figure out everything else. Jim
  21. I believe it is, I haven't pulled it yet. The intake is probably the cheapest part of the whole deal, so if it needs to go, I guess i can dean with it lol. Jim
  22. I wanted to try to keep this on the down low...but I am too confused and need help. Here is the plan. I currently have a 72 454 with 65,000 miles. I plan on running the 268xe cam and performer 2.0 intake (because I already have them). I am planning on running an intercooled procharger D-1sc with around 8psi boost,,,for now. That probably won't be in the budget till fall/winter 08/09. Right now I plan on pulling the motor within the next month or so for a re-paint and clean up the engine compartment. I will be installing the cam at this point. I also would like to do heads which leads me to a mild rebuild. I am hoping to get away with just honing it. Since it will be apart, I might as well change pistions (as the snowball starts rolling) and if I am changing the pistions, why not the rods (gaining speed) and maybe consider the crank as well ( are we building a snowman yet?). Basically, I am trying to keep machine work to a minimum, but be strong enough for the procharger in the near future. The biggest item right now is the heads. I am looking more towards bolt on, pre-assembled since I really don't have the eye, time or patience for the finish work. Soooo, throw out your ideas and lets see where we go. Thanks in advance Jim
  23. The plan has changed slightly. I have decided to do the heads first (meaning now) and save for the supercharger over the summer....hopefully . Kinda pointless puttin a supercharger on if the heads don't flow. I am lookin at the procharger d1sc and trying to work an intercooler in somewhere for the added power/protection. By doing the heads now, I will also be upgrading the fuel and ignition syatems to be ready for it. It's going on a 72 454...so you know why I need heads lol...anyone got a set layin around?? Jim
