  1. Where's WALLABY!!! He started this thread a number of years ago. Havent seen him around, has anyone been in contact with him. rob
  2. Aaron, what color is your interior? In one of your pictures it looks tan and in the other it looks grey. rob
  3. Not sure about the pulley's but I think both the air cleaner and brackets would be simi-gloss. rob
  4. Lovin the pictures Tony, keep up the good work. Have you started a countdown schedule of projects to complete by the cruise season and Eastern Meet. rob
  5. It looks like your "Tach" is also dim. I am not near my 70 right now but if I was I would gladly post pictures. rob
  6. Does it just float in and out of a hole to prevent crimping or is it held stationary and just flex with the opening and closing of the door? rob
  7. It seems Bill never got an answer to his Dye/Paint question. Can anyone help him out? rob
  8. Bill, I agree, it looks very neat BUT I have a question..... How does it work. I can't figure how it goes from the dash, through the door jamb, into the door and finally to the mirror. It seems as you open and close the door it would crimp the cable, unless it is electric. rob
  9. Where is the rear one mounted? rob
  10. If you have to ask.......well, you know what they say. rob
  11. ERT, it is a right hand remote mirror adjusting knob. rob
  12. Keep plugging away Tony, it is really coming together nicely!!! Really loving the shine. If you had'nt mentioned not using the proper color silver, I doubt anyone would have noticed. Every little piece you add brings you closer to completion and her maiden voyage. rob
  13. Congrats on your find!! Is there any leakage into the interior or trunk from around the rear window? How is the interior and engine compartment, inquiring minds want to know? The work on the paint looks to be coming along very well, what are you using on it? Thanks for the pictures. rob
  14. This may be true Tony but If he has numerous guns he may not have remembered which one he used on the body. Look on the bright side, he is a friend who is willing to respray them for you, some other places may have told you a line and charged you for the respray. Yes, it is a delay but really just a short one. rob
  15. Tony, to me the extentions look just a little darker but not much. Good luck on the respray. rob
  16. Yes Ryan.... That ramp setup really scares me. The steering looks like a lot of work went into it. Good Work!! rob
  17. Nicely documented upgrade Bruce.... as usual! Thanks for sharing. rob
  18. For the valve cover decal please click the link below, scan down to my post with the date and time stamp of Posted 14 May 2015 - 02:26 PM and click on the third picture. For some reason the first two pictures would not open for me. rob http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/11271-what-did-you-do-to-your-monte-carlo-today/page-20
  19. On my SB350 the Towanda decal went was on the passenger side valve cover right on the top front of the cover. rob
  20. Full Halo Was Not an indicator of early to late production. Mine is a very late production 70 and it has a full halo trim. Full Halo or partial Halo was more related to near production line change over and if the line ran out of the Full Halo trim. rob
  21. I drove my Monte to work today. While working on our son's car Sunday, replacing the drivers side tie rods I cracked the Steering Knuckle. He is using Patsy's car and she is using mine so "unfortunately" I needed a vehicle to drive to work in..... BINGO!!!!! No rain or snow forecast today so I decided to drive the Monte. Hard to make the sacrifice but someone had to. rob
  22. Wow, no snow on the ground and yet you can still start to see a snowball starting to roll. rob
  23. Looks like a good start Tony. It is unfortunate that taking pictures of chrome or polished aluminum (shiny objects) never come out to show their true beauty. Can't wait to see the finished product and them mounted on that freshly painted Monte. Keep us posted on your progress and I am sure Tony D or someone else will come across with a good way of coating them again. rob
