  1. Steve, this is a great suggestion. Not only does it keep the rods in the same order it allows you to see how and where everything goes back together. If I remember correctly it has also been suggested the to lay it out for a little while to allow some of the wrinkles to work out. I know there are a lot of little tricks to any project you take on. Rob
  2. I agree with others here. It is funny, as I read your post the same term Sam used popped into my head..... "It's Toast" At our Eastern Meet in Bristol club founder Kevin Wiles was having some tranny problems. I think it was frist gear he was missing. We dropped the pan to change the filter and found it filled with "Chunks" rather than "Shavings". Kevin was able to limp home without problem. Rob
  3. Capri, Would the payment be per car or per member? I am not sure if it was specified. Rob
  4. Like everyone else, I had always hear start with the wheel the farthest from the Master Cylinder and work your way to the nearest. That is the way I have always done it. Rob
  5. Tim, You need to go to their website on the provided link to see what all is available there. Rob
  6. On the 70, I think it is either the Monte Carlo script is different or the "BY CHEVROLET" is different. rob
  7. Wow, and still 7 months to go. Good Job to the Western Group. Rob
  8. Just wondering, which one is cheaper, the Chevelle or the Monte, that may be the only difference. Rob
  9. Yenko is still a dealership here in the Western Pennsylvania area but they are now also selling rice..... No longer turning out these beauties, espically in fried rice. Rob
  10. This is a great possibility for the next Quote of the Week. Very funny. Regarding the dealer painting the stripes on for a customer... From what I heard they would not do that unelss the entire package was installed. A Clone is a Clone is a Clone. Rob
  11. To the best of my knowledge Yenko never built a first gen Monte. Yenko is Local. They built a lot of different models but never a Monte that I know of. Just like there are a ton of Clone SS454 Monte's, there are a number of Clone Yenko cars out there. Rob
  12. I agree with Aaron. A Mid-country meet would be a good idea if we could find someone to take on the responsibility. I would suggest someone in the mid area, who is interested in taking on the responsibility, find a location they are interested in hosting a meet and then posting a feeler on the boards to see how many people would be interested in attending. As Jared said, it is a lot of work to do it right. It is a lot of work but great to see it coming together at the end when it is a success. I have planned two of the Eastern Meets and along with Jared and Kevin, Capri, Andreas, Scott and I had a large hand in this years meet. Rob
  13. Jack, This is the third dog my sister has worked with. It is something she had wanted to do for quite some time. It is hard to give them up when your portion of the training is done but in some cases, you may get to revisit the dog after their final training is done and they have been with the person they are in service for. Rob
  14. This year at the Eastern meet, as many know, I had my sister and her husband along with an old friend from the Air Force meeting us there to enjoy the weekend. This gave Patsy and I some time to spend with family and long time friends. I tried to spend as much time with them as possible and was not able to spend as much time with everyone else or assist with the daily meet operations. That said, I feel I was remiss in passing out my thanks. I would like to thank everyone involved in the planning of this meet. Not only those involved in the planning but also to those who drove so many hours to get to the meet. I would like to give special thanks the following. Jared Kevin Andreas Capri Greg (without Greg, Capri would not have been able to do all she did. I want to extend a special thanks to Scott for the time he spent on the Participant Plaques and not only that all the time Scott put into the Club Store Activities. The store activities took much more time than most realize and brought heavy sales dollars in. I will let Scott tell everyone how much business he did in the store. Rob
  15. Yes, it was all Scott's fault. Scott asked me last summer if it would be OK for him to come up with a participant plaque for the tenth Anniversary meet and I told him I would run it past Andreas. Andreas asked me what he had in mind and Scott did a template type plaque, without the metal piece when we met up for our little meet and greet and it looked good so I told him I thought he should go ahead. What you see is the end product. Thanks so much Scooter, Rob
  16. Jim, Thanks for posting the pictures. It was great to finally get to meet you. Now, you will have to plan to make it to the 2010 meet. I hope you enjoyed yourselves in Concord. I know Patsy and I really looked forward to the meet and can't believe it is over so fast but we did get some much needed relaxation. Rob
  17. There was one activity that is planned for Thursday. Read this entire posting from the beginning. I think it is scheduled for people arriving earlier. A number of people are arriving on Thursday and I would imagine many of them will be cleaning up their cars from the trip. I will be driving mine from Pittsburgh so I am sure it will be covered with a lot of bugs. We are leaving Pittsburgh Wednesday after work so we will be driving a number of hours after dard so it will be pretty dirty from the trip. I am sure if your car is fairly clean from your short trip you can assist some of the others cleaning up their cars, it is a great way to get to know someone. Rob Rob
  18. Capri and Greg.... We are keeping our fingers crossed. Rob and Patsy
  19. Patsy and I would like to attend. Let's see how things shake out. I also have my sister and her husband coming along with a friend from my Air Force days and his wife coming to the meet but don't know when all of them are arriving. Put Patsy and I down but let's put it this way, if you have to cut anyone please feel free to cut us since I can not give a definite number at this point in time. Rob
  20. Capri, What, you can't ride along with someone else. You guys would be welcome to hitchhike.... Just have Greg roll up the pants leg, unbutton his shirt a little, strike a pose with his thumb up and I am sure he could hook you all up for a ride with someone else. Rob
  21. [quote=footballubetSounds like something is brewing! Leave it to Scooter to think something is "BREWing" Rob
  22. As Scott said, it depends what time we will drag our back sides out of bed in Princeton. I don't know that our rooms will be ready much before 2:00PM on Thursday so I was not going to break my neck to get there too early. I guess I figured we would get on the road once we got everyone ready to go. With this, it may spur us out the door a little earlier. We will play it by ear. I just hope I will be able to keep up with the rest of the group. Rob
  23. I bought a pair of those panels made by a member for future use. From what I understand, they are far superior to the ones you will buy from some of the supply houses. Rob
  24. Maybe I will try to put together a Guru outfit and burn incense. Rob
  25. I think the Coopers won the prize last year for the best outfits. Rob
