  1. Dennis, you need a house with more bedrooms to fit all these things
  2. What a shame, having to detour home while driving your Monte.... What a treat. And on top of that, a stop at A&W Root Beer. I didn't know A&W's were still around, maybe just in Canada. I always loved how they served their root beer in frosted mugs in their drive thru. rob
  3. In 38 days and a wake-up our members will be arriving in Carlisle for the 2024 Eastern Meet. rob
  4. Christopher, maybe it is my age, time of day or need of sleep but even after reading your post multiple times I have no idea what you are asking. Hopefully someone else does because I must be having a brain fart. rob
  5. Today I got an email that our award plaques are completed and will go out to a shipper today. This meet must be very near. I am glad they are shipping out today so I can open them and inspect them. We have had very good luck with the maker of our awards. One year our awards were received damaged about a week prior to the meet. No questions asked, he remade all of the awards and they shipped out and arrived in time for the meet. rob
  6. This room is no longer available. I am maintaining a waiting list for rooms and if someone needs a room you will go onto this list and if any members can't make it to the meet they will notify me and I will give people on the waiting list the first shot at one of these rooms. I also have another hotel under contract but those rooms will disappear on May 18th so if you feel you would like to attend your time is getting very short to get registered with me and secure a room. rob
  7. You may want to let people know your location (City and State also in case they want to inspect your car or have someone nearby you inspect it. You may also want to give a more detailed description including options, modifications, restored or unrestored, when it was restored, paint and interior age, any rust, etc. And like mentioned by Dennis, Pictures, pictures and more pictures
  8. Here is a link to what Lutty's has. rob https://www.luttyschevy.com/search.html#!year%3D1970||make%3DCHEVROLET||model%3DMONTE CARLO||sxq%3DBattery cable
  9. We have now slipped into new territory, moving into the 30's in our countdown with only 39 days and a wakeup until our first members start arriving in Carlisle to kick off our 25th Eastern Meet, rob
  10. Today, i changed the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Heat Riser gasket and passenger side Exhaust Donut. I have to change the passenger side donut ever couple years on this car. For some reason it likes donuts. This time I installed a Banana 🍌 Flavored Donut. Maybe it will hold up better.... Awhile back the gas gauge started reading a higher amount than is really in the tank. Today I found the ground wire, with Joe's help, where the wire gets grounded to the body on the drivers side about 5-6 inches above where the front gas tank strap attaches. I had been told my gas gauge reading issue may be a bad ground at that grounding point. The screw was not at all rusty and came out with ease. I told myself, be careful and don't lose this screw as you clean everything up. I had the screw in my hot little hand carried it into the garage to get a wire brush, steel wool and sand paper so I could bet everything good and clean. Somewhere along the line, while carrying all of these things back out to the car the little screw vanished into thin air.... or at least into the black hole of my garage.... Not to worry, I have enough drawers of screw hardware and I was back in business. BUT, that was not the problem with my gas gauge so the search will continue, short of dropping the tank, I don't need that snowball effect with a little more than 6 weeks before Carlisle. rob
  11. Keep in mind that Ron was a Sears Appliance repair guy. Many of the heating and air conditioning units have diagnostics built into the circuit boards. I was trained in heating and air conditioning many years ago but like automobiles of today the H-Vac units have also become much more electronic and computer based now. Ron doesn't how hot it was up in that attic where that unit was but he was working in a humid attic at about 110 degrees, sweating his keister (among other things) off. I talked to him after he was done. rob
  12. My calendar on the wall is telling me we are now at 40 days and a wake-up. DANG, time is getting short. rob
  13. thanks for sharing the picture. Looks like a nice cruise. rob
  14. Or I could put my grandkids to work cleaning it in the hotel parking lot after the trip over there. rib
  15. A couple weeks ago I replaced the spark plugs in preparation fir the Eastern Meet but didn't gave time to do the points and Condensor. Yesterday took it out to a friend's house and we installed the points and set the points, tach, dwell and timing. Now, other than the main cleaning, all I need to do before leaving is to change the oil and the oil filter and air filter. I'm not going to clean her until I arrive due to the crud we will pickup on the drive over. rob
  16. In 41 days and a wake-up the first members will start arriving in Carlisle. You guessed it, that is six short weeks or only a month and a half from today. rob
  17. One can always dream. rob
  18. 42 days and a wake-up is where we now sit in our countdown sits today. Is your Monte Ready To Roll? rob
  19. PHOTOSHOPPED car put into picture to fool us into thinking it is really Dennis's ad
  20. ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!! It looks as though someone has hi-jacked to the screen of Dennis T. Everyone here knows if you don't see the toes of a pair of slippers or shoes in a picture it wasn't taken by Dennis. Just kidding it's a legit ad. rob
  21. 🤣🤣 and I'm the old one rob
  22. So, we are almost bumping up against the 30's our count now at 43 days and a wake-up before our first members will be arriving in Carlisle for our 25th Eastern Meet. rob
  23. In reality Vaughn they were quite different. Yours is a 71 and mine is a 70. The original build date for mine is the last week in June of 1970 so they are about a year apart. rob
