  1. I sent the below information in an email back in January but we have had many members registering with me since then so I wanted to edit it and resend it again with a couple alterations. Good Evening All, You are receiving this email because you have registered with me to attend this year’s Eastern Meet. One of our club activities at this year’s Eastern Meet will be a poker run. If anyone would like to volunteer to help run this year's hotel games and driving games, please let me know. The Poker run and other games will be held during the day on Thursday. If anyone would have any ideas on other club games for Thursday, please let me know. Yesterday I completed the process of contacting companies about donations and sending out email beg letters for door prizes and goodie bag items. This has been the hardest year ever to get companies to make donations. Some are willing to send out goodie bag items but some are even balking at this too. If anyone knows of any companies who may be willing to donate, please send me the contact information and I will approach them. With the number of car shows out there I am sure companies are flooded with donation requests so they have begun to just say no to everyone. I have started compiling a door prize list so we know what door prizes we will have available to give out on Saturday evening at the hotel and following our Awards Dinner. I know there are several members who have said they would like to donate something to be given away. For anyone who is planning to bring something to give away as a door prize please shoot me an email with what you will be bringing so I can add it to the door prize tracking list. I have started printing our name badges and most of them are in their plastic pouches and ready for their lanyards to be attached, for all of our members who have provided me with all of the registration information I will need. I would like to thank everyone who has already registered with Carlisle Events. It is very important to Pre-Register with Carlisle Events because if we have enough members preregistered they will provide us with a free club canopy and the more pre-registered vehicles we get, the larger canopy they will give us. Just a note, Prior to Christmas they were running a discounted rate for registration and I think they may still be offering this reduced rate but I don't know that for sure so if your vehicle is not registered yet please do so and make sure you list the First Generation Monte Carlo Club as your club affiliation. I know some members are bringing something other than a First Gen Monte, if you are one of these people please note, no matter what vehicle you are registering you can still select the First Gen Monte Carlo Club as your club affiliation.. Arrangements for our Award Dinner are all set. It will be at the show field on Saturday evening and it will be catered by Alfredo from Marcello's Restaurant. They have been hosting our Award Dinner since the first year they opened and since I have been hosting Eastern Meets in Carlisle and they have hosted our Saturday evening group dinners at every one of the Mini-Meets I have hosted there. We are all set for our Thursday evening Pizza Party at the hotel and Marcello's Restaurant will be supplying our Pizza's for this event too. Weather permitting, we will be heading to Carlisle Sports Emporium on Thursday after our pizza party. We will convoy there in our Monte's Any questions please shoot me an email at ROB29FORD@AOL.COM Regards, Rob Peters
  2. Rich, it's your car, do as you like no matter what others say. Since so much other interior items are interchangeable I would think the bench seat would be also. Let's see what others have to say about fitment though. rob
  3. Too funny reading the comments. So, back then, three years ago, OPGi were listing fenders they didn't have in stock yet. I don't know of anyone who has bought and tried to fit those aftermarket fenders so we don't even know how good they are rob
  4. Thanks Frank, I appreciate it. rob
  5. I recently had my PSA test run not long ago ahead of my yearly visit to my urologist. Well, my PSA passed easily with a 1.33 which is near the low end of the acceptable range. You would think with it being that low the doctor would not feel it is necessary to do the portion of the exam that is unpleasant for not only the doctor but also for me. I can always tell when this doctor is ready for that portion of the exam... he gets real chatty and asks... "So do your have any travel plans for this year?" This is his opening line and when you say what your plans are it gives him something to talk to you about during the exam. I told Patsy when I got home... I wonder what he would have done if my response had been.... No, we have no special travel plans this year. Oh Well.... Not only was the PSA test very good but so was the other part of the exam... good for another year rob
  6. That's great news Ron. You must have studied hard for that test to pass it with such flying colors. rob
  7. Frank, Is that in a current Hemmings????? If so I would love to grab a copy of it If it is, which Hemmings is it in. Yes, some of those quotes are from me but they were from awhile back. I cant remember exactly when it would have been but I am guessing a minimum of 5 to 7 years ago and at that time I was not even a club officer. Also correct is Sam has not been active in the club on the boards or at events but he is still a dues paying member. I am glad they plugged the club website. I suspect they went to the club website to see that I am currently the club President but can't understand why they would not have noticed that Sam is no longer a club officer. Again, I want to grab a copy of this Hemmings but since Hemmings publishes more than one magazine. rob
  8. Kevin, I have corrected this for you. According to our records you first joined in 2020. When your dues came due in 2021 we did not receive a dues payment but then in 2022 you did pay and have paid since then. The change in showing you as a non-dues paying member was done in error. Appologies. rob
  9. Whoa.... That pump lever looks to be chrome.... that could be a deviation from factory correct and could throw someone into another judging class. rob

    Had to laugh

I was thinking the same thing as Ton and Steve.. Karen is a keeper. I do gave one question, did you order those parts before or after you posted here about her raise? rob
  11. Maybe if it would have defaulted to what it was originally when using my laptop I wouldn't have e needed to play with them!! When I first typed the message it was so small I couldn't read it. Hey Joe, what was the original typeface and font size and can you get it to default to that. Now this post has been hijacked from talking about the Eastern Meet to talking about Joe and his face type.🤣🤣 rob
  12. Steve, I agree on the fig newton's but I thought they were discussing Girl Scout Cookies here. But, go ahead and hijack the thread and take it to all other cookies... 🤣 rob
  13. Tossup between the short bread one or the Mint rob
  14. Thanks Joe, I often wondered about font size and I like how we can change it. That and the Font. rob
  15. Within 24 hours of me posting we had almost hit 70 members registered with me and I was wondering how long it would take for that 70th member to register.... Well, it has happened. This evening around supper time NUMBER 70 has registered with me. That member is our club founding father Kevin Wiles. Kevin, I am so glad you are going to be able to make it. Ok, now we have broken the 70 member mark let's shoot for 80. I received a dues payment yesterday from a person who lives about a half hour from me and I have approached him about attending the Eastern Meet and he has already told me he wants to attend. rob
  16. Hope you're feeling better tomorrow Aaron. rob
  17. Anything to avoid working on a car, huh? rob
  18. OK Everyone.......... The next person from the club who registers with me for the Eastern Meet will be NUMBER 70 But, don't stop looking for people to join us in this meet. We still have over 3 1/2 months to shoot for 80 members or who knows, maybe 90. rob
  19. Believe it or not, many people have said that rained out Saturday was kind of a bonus because with all of us at the hotel rather than scattered all around the show field was kind of a bonus because they really had a chance to get to know the members much better. While that was very nice I am praying for excellent weather for the 2024 Eastern meet. rob
  20. Looks like CRT to me too. If it is in fact a 454 motor we all know it wasn't mated with a 4-speed in a Monte so if the 4-speed tag on the Tranny matches the actual VIN then it would be original to the car but would have been a 350 or 402 car rob
  21. Looks and sounds like it could make a cross country trip to Carlisle. rob

    New guy

Mark, I have never seen a 3-speed manual floor shift nor seen documentation that they were ever produced. rob
