Was surfing through the fgmcc site and just found this info on led lights. Another winter project for me :). Found both the tail lights and the male 3 wire pigtails on eBay and ordered.. lights are still same listed price as when this post created. Thanks guys 👍🏻. Won’t be much longer till Carlisle !

I recommend checking with a local antique car dealer in your area ,if there are any, and ask where the best shop is for fabricating exhaust on old cars. A good exhaust man will even measure from the dual tips to the bumper to make sure it is correct and looks right.

Have not received that error or error code on iPhone or iPad. Onsite every couple days.

Super glue gel. On the back side only. Gorilla glue takes too long to set and contact glue has gas bubbles. Staples are typically too long. Watch the fingers tho. I used clamps and only did a 4-5 inch section at a time starting in middle so there would be no crimps. -

Finished the sail panels today, this is not a job, this is a fun project. Something I look forward to after I get off work.. posting pictures of passengers side sail panel because it was the worst. Previous guy didn’t do such a good job, looks like he put contact glue behind cloth but it caused it to bubble.. second picture is same side I did with new sail panel backing and cloth.. I surely do think mine looks better. Maybe I’m biased. You decide. Anyway, ms Monte is very happy 😃...On to the next project, Woohoo... -

On to the next job, guy that put new headliner in last winter did a good job on it but a sloppy job on the sail panels. I promised Ms Monte I would fix her up myself.. ordered new sail panels and cloth for them. You want something done right sometimes ya gotta do it yerself...so, she’s a waitin, gotta get some heat in this garage and get started... -

Finished repairing the rust under softtop causing water to enter trunk. Scraped, sanded, repaired 3 match stick size holes. Applied 3 coats of Black Jack, 2 coats of paint, .window seal good, no caulking used anywhere. Put in new trim clips. Turned out good.. luckily didn’t tear or wrinkle softtop.. -

Will check for rust all the way thru, sand, use a rust inhibitor and sealer , a little paint and caulking around the window . Hopefully it last.. -

A new mystery for the books. Turn guard sideways it’s an N. But from bottom to top, upright , it’s a Z. And yep Rob. Looks like something bigger than a gravel hit the passenger side one ..the asphalt at the dragstrip maybe ?:).. just kidding 😂 -

Started prepping rear air shock guards today for painting, and found a letter Z with a circle ⭕️ around it on both guards. Not sure if it stands for anything or has any significance. -
Deepest sympathy and condolences, I can’t imagine . 😥

Replaced the circuit board in my 71. Just dropped the steering column , pulled dash toward seat. No big deal if you don’t rush it. Replaced the clock while I was in there. Decided against a volt meter. If you have amps, you have volts. ⚡️.

Doing some touch up underneath, looks like these guards have been painted over at least 15 times ! Will completely remove old paint , and start over. Original color black? Thanks

I think Dragcat and one or two more took a tour down the 1/4 miler.. Several Montes won at The Bristol All Chevy show today , Jarod will post pictures later I expect.. was a good trip. My wife and I met some of the nicest people in the fgmcc and was a pleasure to spend time with them. A lot of hard work went into the meet and was organized well. Thanks Jarod, Donnie, and Jarod’s mom and whomever else was involved.. hope too see everyone soon! Ron...
