I got it back from the glass shop today. Well it was on the trailer I took it to get the alignment done camber/caster was off 1/16 shim and toe was out two turns on passenger side and 4 turns on drivers. Pretty good for a tape measure. Lol. Radio is a lot less staticky with the windshield installed. Lol. First real drive will be tomorrow or Saturday. Ladies and gentlemen—— LET US PREY. I was pulling into the garage and I just had to light em up. Don’t look like much rubber in the picture but dang the smoke cloud. Lol. Karen was peeeoodddd( censored) stunk up the whole house. 🤪🤪
Yep I see it. I didn’t notice it before until I blew up the picture. You have to remove the set screw as said before pulling the panel. I’m sure you can replace it but finding it might be a problem without buying a complete mirror. Good thing, if your mirror is good you can get a junk mirror somewhere and steal the knob off of it.
Do you all have a problem putting a dual post battery in your car???? I know it’s not original but is it acceptable??? There is a reason I need to know this. Thanks
My books are all showing either a top post or side post. I’m guessing it’s an early or late thing. Does anyone have a 70 with a side post battery? I can do this with a dual post but that would effect 71-72. Secondary question. Would you Monte owners have a problem with having a dual post battery in your car? I personally like them on side post car for testing and jumping purposes.
It doesn’t matter. Retired or not. You’ll just have to get a little more ingenious on fabricating parts ( with out the “shop”). There is no rush. But at least when you’re sitting in the hot tub you can just pretend you’re making a plan of action.
Great news on the transmission and add ons. Should be ready to drive a week or two after they get there. Lol. Dynamat look great. It’s screwing with my eyes though. 🤪
The mirror piece will come off with the door panel. That is the remote mirror knob holder. As said the mirror control knob is held in with a set screw but it look like your set screw came loose and the knob and cable are inside the door. Or the mirror was replaced with a non remote mirror. Let hope your cable just slid into the door.
This is the only picture I have. Sorry. Do these look correct for our cars. The tanks look correct but I’m questioning the head. Thanks. He thinks that they are off a 71 Grand Prix.
