  1. I can certainly post more pictures. But getting the group to pick out the flaws ( on the car not me) has been a little harder. I’ve tried that a few times before. I think, that they think, they are going to offend me or hurt my feelings. Boo hoo to me. Lol. If I asked to get punched ( not asking to) I would expect to get hit. I’ll get it outside so I have more room, post pictures and then it’s up to the group. I should have a pretty good list for winter projects.
  2. What Joe said. But for me too
  3. That’s awesome. One more thing off that retirement list. Boy we called that perfectly. Coldest day of the year, so far. At least you didn’t have to shovel the pad first. Look great.
  4. Actually none of the above. The parts, I knew going in they were going to be awhile. As far as progress the car is done except for them 3 things. And of course now it’s cold and the roads are full of salt. Now I get to stare at it for 3 months and nitpick. Lol. Not necessarily a bad thing. Lol.
  5. I ended up with the day off. Work truck in for brakes. As I sit here looking at the car and realizing that I don’t have a dang thing to work on. I’m waiting on one part to put the glass in(3/4 weeks), waiting on one part to have the headliner redone ( 3/4 weeks), wheel alignment( don’t want to drive it to the shop with no glass) and charge a/c. This sucks. But kinda happy in a way. To cold to do anything outside, but I probably will work outside anyway. Possibly???
  6. It’s funny how times have changed. We’re building “classics or hot rods” and we’re making changes with fuel mileage as a concern. Yes I get it and I do it to. It’s just funny.🤪😆
  7. Passenger side axle tube, front side, about 1/3 of the tube away from the pumpkin there should be numbers stamped in the tube. Not easy to see or find so don’t use a grinder. That will tell you what was in the rear from the factory.
  8. We have a business like this about 5 miles from me. I have never used them but if I had to do major work, like a transmission it sure beats laying on the ground.
  9. I agree with Larry. If I think shipping costs with them are crazy state to state, I can only imagine what it would cost to ship to Ireland.
  10. I think the parts place has just the radiator support bushings. Or inline tube.
  11. Not offended at all. I know it’s only a matter of time. Lol. Boom. I’m walking. Good thing I have AAA. Lol. Now I’m going to go shopping.
  12. I feel offended. All I got out of that was that my 88 SS is junk. Lol. Jk. I put a gm zz4 crate in my 88. I’m waiting to see what is going to go first. The 200 r4 or the rearend.
  13. Thanks. I was unsure. I new the dealership did something but didn’t know what.
  14. I have had awesome luck with The Parts Place. Sometimes the price may be a couple bucks more but it seems that they don’t blow up the shipping charges like others do.
  15. All the parts I have ordered from opgi are for a chevelle and don’t work on the Monte ( they can work with mods) they don’t differentiate real well between the two body styles. I won’t buy anything from them anymore.
  16. Were the protect-o-plates done by the dealership? I thought that they were.
  17. If you have your build sheet look for the box the says emission and you’ll find a two letter code. The will be the emission decal you need for the radiator top plate.
  18. I’m thinking your part is the transmission line bracket. Passenger side on the oil pan. But it doesn’t look like it’s all there. Or you could be correct in it being the positive cable holder. Passenger side oil I believe 2nd or 3rd hole. But I’m not 100 percent sure.
  19. Welcome, very nice car. I know The Parts Place has the 71 lenses but I’m not sure about the whole assembly. You can try Konnicks. Information is in the resource section of the site.
  20. If you can find a way to get the dark metal ring off then you can spot weld the clips on. You could try a little flat edge and bend the chrome up a little at a time going in several circles. Just a thought.
  21. Them may work but I don’t think they will last. Original ones seem to be welded to a ring and the ring gets lip folded into the chrome.
  22. I don’t have a second one. I could screw with people and put a boost gauge there. Lol.
  23. Not hooked up but not horrible. Still thinking 🤔
  24. I just found this “in stock “ ( lol I got to finally do that). I can probably mount it to one of the ashtray screws above the front of the console. Not what I want but it’s free. Lol.
  25. I can if I find the one I want. Other than that steering wheel that interior looks pretty familiar. Lol.
