  1. I’m guessing 402, th400 and 12 bolt. 402 is just a bored 396. Nobody complains about that. Good engine as long as it was taken care of. Of course that’s with anything. Welcome to the group by the way.

I’d just paint the frame with frame paint. You don’t want anything to thick around the bushings and mounting areas it will throw off all the body alignments.
  3. Don’t sell. Put a motor in. IF, I don’t know, money is the issue you can buy a running small block usually pretty cheap and put it in the car in a day. Paint it up so it looks good and there you go.
  4. Don’t bait him Willie, you quiet instigator. I see what you’re up to and Imma thinking I won’t like it. lol. 😂
  5. Hey Tyler. I know how you Minnesotans are, trust me. Born and raised in Coon Rapids Minnesota. We tend to be that way. lol. Get him on the site and let him play around and read the wealth of information that’s available. Whether he becomes a member or not isn’t as important as getting him the information he needs.
  6. The Peter’s family posted that on facebook. I was going to show Joe this morning when we were together but I forgot. lol. Is that a new fangled version of a banana hammock? 😝😝
  7. Welcome Cory. We are all here to help if you need anything. Great looking car too.
  8. I forgot to add welcome. We’re here if you guys need help

A lot of places sell the console pockets separately from the chrome piece. All the factory had the chrome. My 72 does not have the console pockets factory.
  12. I only had one and it was the broken one I replaced on my 71. Sorry.

Welcome Kevin. A couple days ago I was cruising around Facebook and seen your pictures. It didn’t take you long to tear in to it. Looks like a pretty nice car to rebuild or restore. You have started the process of getting involved with, in my opinion, the best Monte group. A great bunch of Monte heads here. You have questions, we are all here to help. Good luck on your project and hope to see you on the site often.
  14. Look at the vac line going to the transmission modulator. You may have pulled it off when redoing the lines.
  15. lol. I know. But I try to get a dig in every once in a while.
  16. Sure is a pretty car. To bad I’ll never see it in person. 😆😆😆
  17. I’ll look tomorrow after work. I do believe they can be welded.
  18. lol. I was kidding around but the original thought was banana abuse repayment.
  19. I do agree with the statement but in reality the speed limit back then was 55 mph( correct me if I’m wrong Rob, you were in your late thirties early forties 😆😆). A lot of people cruised the interstates at 55 even if they had an SS car because of the lower gear ratios, my 70 SS has 2:56 gears.
  20. They put them on a bunch of small block cars. They went 70 mph too. But I do believe, to some degree, that’s a legitimate concern.
  21. You …. I hope you understand. You’re NOT getting a thanks from me. That’s one reaction I’ll never use.
