  1. I believe we’ve been over this before. Words sometimes hurt more than fists, Broseph. Thanks, Rob. The psychological ramifications of bullying obviously mean nothing to someone without a soul. “Ya”. That’s all you got? Geez, dude, I woulda thought you’d dust off your A Game at such a pivotal crossroads. And there ⬆️ it is. Trying to minimize, deflect and assign blame to others. Classic psychopath tactic. Looks like I just added some soul searching and inward reflection to my “To Do” list. Tonight, my heart hurts. 🥺
  2. The fourth sound was a little more annoying,Karen telling me I’m stinking up the house. Yeah, I had a similar sound with similar complaint. “Don’t sit on that couch with those smelly clothes”. As if the funk deposited by the Labrador after taking it over years ago doesn’t exist. 🙄
  3. Appreciate the thought, Steve. However, Mr. Lyman was kind enough to send a couple along as he had extras from when he owned the car. One calendar is from ‘08 and one is from ‘11, and they used the same pic in both. I also obtained the book it was featured in, with Bob sending me another copy of that as well. Took her for a short blast to get everything hot and circulating, came back and made a margarita… and then I ran outta steam. The ‘70 will have to wait a day or so.
  4. Weather looks like upper 60s to lower 70s all week. Just finished brunch and cocktails with the in-laws and figured now is as good a time as any to get at least one of them out of hibernation. If I don’t unwrap the ‘70 today, it will definitely be within the next day or two. IMG_4029.MOV
  5. Welcome! I can only imagine how hard it has to be to get parts. Good luck and keep pix of your progress coming.
  6. Ok, since no one else asked… where in the car did you find it?
  7. This counts, right? Right…..?
  8. An elusive chap. Perhaps even more so than that “George” guy from the greater Chicagoland area with the Shadow Gray ‘70 🤔
  9. Nice car indeed, even with the ‘70 interior.
  10. Late to this thread… best wishes, Rob… I hope the device works as intended.
  11. Very nice! The Protect-O-Plate is a nice thing to have. When you have time, pop the back seat and check for a Build Sheet. If no luck, there’s other places to look to hunt down your girls “birth certificate”. It appears to be a Leeds built car, so the chances are pretty good there’s at least one somewhere inside of her. Happy hunting and keep us posted.
  12. At this price I’m confident the buyer was of the educated variety, did his due diligence and knew it wasn’t a legit / complete SS.
  13. Here, I fixed it for ya…
  14. Sweet! Was always a fan of the black over red. Probably because the first First Gen I saw/experienced was black over red. P
  15. Just don’t fall for the 1060 W. Addison address from any of us Chicago members, Rob.
  16. Soon, Bill. Thankfully we didn’t get the little bit of snow that was predicted, which means their little fleet of “cleverly” named salt trucks didn’t get to make their debut and dump more acid on the streets. Gonna be 60 on Friday! The girls may get sprung from their bubbles soon.
  17. Yes, welcome Drew! (And a belated welcome to Michael as well!). And jump on into the ‘Picture Pool’, Drew… the water’s fine. As stated ad nauseum, we all love pix.
  18. They’re making up for allowing me to suffer with ‘Middle Child Syndrome’ for many of my formative years. I’d say their tab is far from being paid in full … 😂🤣
  19. I believe that I’ve previously mentioned that in my younger years I was routinely presented with the RICO Award at work Christmas parties: RUDE - IGNORANT - CRASS - OBNOXIOUS I’m proud to say I held that title for 6 consecutive years. And NOW you know the rest of the story…😂🤣
  20. While I agree with both of you guys, it appears there is a more pressing matter that needs tending to. There is clearly a plutonium leak, perhaps from the flux capacitor. Witness the glowing blue fluid in the night photo.
  21. Welcome, Mike. I’m gonna beat a dead horse … lots of good people and great information here. And nobody’s lying when they say we love pictures.
  22. Same issue here with the ‘71. I noticed what I thought was coolant on the frame under the box. So I initially thought I had a loose heater hose - or worse - a bad heater core. Turns out it was refrigerant dye. The guy who rebuilt the trans on my ‘70 has said he’ll do the job, only he likely won’t be able to start til April sometime as his it’s him and one employee. Worse part? They work at the speed of erosion. Says he plans on pulling the hood and yanking the fender and wheel housing. Oh well, as long as it’s ready to go for Carlisle.
  23. Looks awesome! Keep the pix coming.
  24. Whatdya call an Irishman who won’t leave your yard? Patty O’Furniture
  25. I’m a wee bit late to this party… Is it just me, or is anyone else missing that chick who was abandoned by her mom, raised by wolves after bouncing around assorted group homes where she was abused and introduced to drugs, only to finally open up her own repair shop where she and her girlfriend were in the process of working on their First Gen? What was her name again? She’d be a welcome distraction right about now.
