No but in the process of tightening the ac lines The red wire on the horn relay got touched for just a second & later the amp was fine But a couple miles later it was noticed, Which could very well had registered such a large neg draw it caused it. Not sure, but don't want that to happen again. I thought I had already turn the quick battery shut off but A Senior Moment. as I didn't. OH Well.
  4. Yes for sure, Run some marvels mystery oil though it & change the oil may take a few time also good in the fuel tank.

  7. I wonder if U could un hook the battery terminals & do it that way?
  8. so you hook up a aaa battery to the back of gauge & just do a quick hit with the voltage to move the needle?
  9. Anyone know what would cause a factory amp needle to turn/point down?? was working fine then next I notice its pointing towards the floor does move a little when load changes.

    71 monte carlo ss

    Mine has one on each front fender inside. Found them when I removed the inner fender ext. no longer complete & I haven't touched them as they are falling apart. have one from gas tank & under pass side carpet with a couple extra screws & empty chewing tobacco pouch #7. Good luck

  14. Can anyone tell me from their correct 402 air cleaner what size dia is the metal stub at bottom of the snorkel were the flex hose/ elbow hooks up to is. Like 1.5 inch 2.0 inch example Thanks Bob

If your temperature stays within 10 degrees of thermostat your system is in great shape, I used an temp probe to measure mine at operating temp & put in a resistor in line at sender to have it read correctly resistor at radio shack cheap. It does vary at time of heavy traffic etc, but not a fast change.
  16. points inside the regulator need adjustment.
  17. Check any Used tires & also new ones for the 4 digit date code like 2515 is 25th week of 2015 if more than a 3 months old forget it, too dangerious. check ot U tube video's under tread separation.
  18. Absolutely need to flush out all the old r12 oil. no need to replace compressor. Recalibrate poa for 134A or take it out & put in a poa eliminate kit & wire in the pressure cycling switch & re fill 85% of the total r12 rating can't remember at the moment like 85% of 3lbs.
  19. Have a Qualified tech check it first, Then make a plan what it needs, Don't guess.
  20. Jump out regulator terminal plug a & f terminal should put out full amps at 1500 rpms
