  1. Now that I didnt know on the 64 chevelle the frame stands were different from sb to bb
  2. Does it do this after a fresh oil change also, maybe the oil breaks down a bit when it gets a little older. check to see if the oil is thinning out an bit maybe to much fuel running through the engine and not burning completly also smell the oil to see if theres any fuel in there. Just another thought.
  3. Yes deffinatly but make sure the coil on the car is compatable with the system you get I used an accel coul but pertronix makes one too. I got mine from Jegs the guy I talked to checked to make sure the accel coil would work with it so I didnt have to buy a new one. Had the accel on the car already. Remember to follow the instructions.
  4. Hey I have a factory 4 barrel manifold for that enging it came out of a 68 327 or 350 according to the numbers on the manifold.
  5. Would you need to weld it to the tunnel or could you use panel bond on it? Just a question not that I have plans to do it (unless I found the set up right)
  6. I switched over to it 2 years ago with no problems at all, Hope I didnt jynx myself.
  7. I got one from advanced auto it didnt work in mine so I ordered a factory duplicate from opg that didnt work eather so I have other problems also but I have the extra one from aap. It is a single tube one its similer to the one in the pic only with 1 tube it has the plastic float. If you want it and it will work twenty bucks plus shipping its yours. I think I paid around $45.00 for it.
  8. Wow that looks and sounds great nice work but made me very nervous leaning over the engine wearing a tie i've herd of them getting caught in the fans before be careful. Great job
  9. Thats all that was there it was under the front seat. none under back seat or on top of gas tank eather I havent checked the top of the golve box yet.

  11. Good luck Scott with start up. Do you use a battery tender I hear they work good. I use one on my tractor and have gotten an extra year out of that battery this year will be 2 extra if it starts in the spring well see. Good luck
  12. See if you can find someone that makes the fake ones and if there not to expensive have them make one for you and look at it compared to the real deal see if there close.

  14. Like Tony said sometimes its better to walk away from it for a while. One night I fought tring to get the alt bolt in and got frustrated I called it a night. Came back in the morning and it slid right in, go figure. Sometimes you get a bit tired and have other things on your mind and it fights ya all the way. Some times you just have to sit back and reflect.
  15. I assume because the holes for the chrome are still in the doors the factory chrome is going back on? I like that. Looks great so far a lot of hard work there cant wait to see it done.

If you have them adjusted to tight the lifters may be partialy collapsed after it warms and everything expands (everything expands when hot even the oil) they could be expanded enough to cause the lock up you are refering to (total collapse) hopefully there not to tight to break something internally. Readjust and try it again if you still have problems check the lifters again and the push rods.

I aggree with most everyone 1/4 to 1/2 should be all yo need i've always had better luck adusting them running with engine warmed up but be sure and get the caps for the rockers or you will have an oily mess to clean up and remember to remove them when your done too.   19. I know United radio here in Syracuse used to do all the gm radios back in the day not sure if they still do. Theres a guy down in Utica that did a friends radio out of his 57 ford and he was very happy I could get the name if you want.
  20. Aggred time to go with the headers and dual exhaust that will get it breathing better and fix the exhaust leak. then as the budget allows get the manifold and carb. Those headers look good but not sure maybe someone else can chime in on them and if they work out I may grab a set too thats a good price.
  21. oPG does list them not sure how close they are to oem cable though
