  1. I bought some from I think Lutty's at Carlisle several years ago cannot remember for sure. Some of them have the metal clips, the ones I got did not and they do not seal properly, so I am in need of more replacements
  2. Not am bad price at all. I sold a 1406 with electric choke for $125 plus shipping 18 months ago.
  3. I have mine set for the new posts to come up first
  4. i would like to see one so I could see the quality of it. Mine is pitted badly and I don't have the funds to get a nice one from one of our venders
  5. To me the 72 would be easier to make do to less fins and little squares

could be the voltage regulator after sitting that long it could be corroded inside
  8. I have tried to get him to join for several years but he has not as of this time. I he said he belonged years ago.
  9. Steve Griffith3 car, he lives near Pendleton Indiana. he took many photos of my car so he could stat reassembly to get all of the stock details put back on the car. It has taken him 20 years to finish his car. He retired a few years ago and has gotten more done in the last 5 years than in the previous 15. I have many more photos if anyone is interested to see some of his custom details
  10. I think Dennis measured from the front edge of the rocker for the holes for the clips. Iif my memory is working correctly from my 72 those were the measurements I had
  11. When I had my engine rebuilt at Quinlin Automotive on the south side of INDY a few years ago he recommended 10W30 or 10W40 valvolene in the blue jugs. I don’t remember what variety but the one suggested for diesels
  12. I don't think that will help you Mr Tretter
  13. I see I see said the blind man as he picked his hammer and saw
  14. K&N on Ole Red and it gets cleaned usually twice a year. Last year only once because he was not driven as much as in previous seasons
  15. The 72 will be coming home today Thursday April 6th. 1117.39 later and it is better than new. Frank said he adjusted everything and it shifts just like it was designed to and is very smooth shifting until your hammer it and then the tires squawk when it hits 2nd gear
  16. Let us present him a big gold chain at Somerset next month
  17. The tranny has been disassembled and reassembly started. A gear had failed in the roller pins had chewed up some gears thus the grinding coming from below. Frank also found another part broken that would have caused a catastrophic failure in the very near future. The gear and broken part are not related to each other. The tranny supposedly had been rebuilt by a shop in northern Indiana before it was installed in the car by the previous owner. Frank said they did a pi$$ poor job on the previous rebuild as he found several thing not quite right. We also found that the Fly wheel/Flex Plate had a few teeth that had been gnawed on so he has a new one ordered and he is going to thoroughly inspect the meshing of the starter gear and the teeth on flex plate. It will now be better than it has ever been under my ownership.
  18. Was it a vinyl top car,, I noticed the moldings
  19. Jared Ritchey likes Cooper Cobras
