  1. Also, there's 2 options for the passenger side bullet mirror..... 1) not correct for the 70-72 years but is more functional and reads "Objects may be closer than they appear" across the bottom of the glass 2) nothing printed on glass. This is the one currently on my car but it isn't very functional really.
  2. There's this guy but you will need to tell him it is for a Monte because the passenger side mirror base is a little different for it to sit level.
  3. OK...check this out....I think it is the same as the Chevelle and is part number 9878201? https://books.google.ca/books?id=CcK9tuyUC7YC&pg=PA130&lpg=PA130&dq=1971+Chevelle+bullet+mirror+part+number&source=bl&ots=efpUHnZiY2&sig=Ssut-g1_SXbzMUYOQq4fCL34pBg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjbnJmg-uHKAhUJtxoKHaPkATwQ6AEIKDAE#v=onepage&q=1971%20Chevelle%20bullet%20mirror%20part%20number&f=false
  4. I searched from one end of the assembly manual to the other and came up with nothin'.
  5. Nicely done Ert and thanks for posting. That should be saved in the tech section me thinks.
  6. Great solid looking Monte you started with. Good luck with the build.
  7. Well done Bruce...thanks for sharing. Thank goodness you have all these pictures to pass down with the car one day.
  8. Jeremy, Rooster2 (Carl) may still have the 70 body and chassis for sale that he recently posted in the For Sale/Wanted section. He told me it is an Arizona car so it should be good. He is in Michigan so shipping shouldn't be too bad.
  9. My fully documented 71 SS came from the factory with idiot lights, am radio, one speaker dash and no a/c.
  10. Yes....the maplight was an option in 71 as well...not sure about 70.
  11. It was about 500 miles each for me this year for the EM. The car drove beautifully there and back. I sure could have done without the rain as it rained our whole full day there and most of the way home. It was still worth it though.
  12. Try this one.... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-other-auto-parts-and-accessories/hamilton/misc-consoles-shifters-dash-owners-manuals-cars-trucks/399933897?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
  13. Looking great Tony. Keep the pics coming......it is the next best thing to being there for us. Looking forward to the finish coats almost as much as you are.
