Michael Boyte Posted April 3, 2023 Share Posted April 3, 2023 Well, it's official. The parade of boats is now headed North. A lot of northerners use the intracoastal waterway as their interstate . In the fall you will see hundreds of yachts headed to their southern homes, Now it's time to head back north before the weather is miserably hot . You will see as many as 15 at a time. Montemedic Posted April 3, 2023 Share Posted April 3, 2023 Most of the Marina’s in the NY Area have there moorings and dock space ready from April 15 - October 15 give or take a 1-2 weeks longer or so depending on the weather. My daughter is down your way this week she sent a picture of the kids in the ocean yesterday I'm sure it had to be cold but kids don't care. I believe the Canadians are usually the first to test the waters, However with spring break going on, there's a lot of college kids here, and they don't care. For a lot of them, the goal is to see who can cover up the least. And please understand, I AM NOT COMPLAINING !! just another perk to me !!
