snomobeelr
I've heard the squeak , but just noticed the water pump pully appears to be off a bit from the crank pully. Barley noticeable. It only squeaks when I hammer on it. If I remember correctly I had these pulleys on the small block 350 that used to be in the car. The water pump pulley is 3995631A0. Has anyone had this issue ? Dtret
Are you sure it’s the water pump belt making the noise and not the power steering?
MC1of80
Tighten the belt. New belts stretch after a few heating and cooling cycles and they wear into the groove of the pulleys. If there was an issue with alignment you would be throwing belts. Especially when hammering it.
cny first gen 71
It's not that far off it should be ok, like Tom said readjust the belts see if that helps. Could be paint residu on the belt too. I noticed the pully is painted.
MC1of80
Also, looks like the p/s pump upper adjustment is just about or is maxed out. If it is, try a belt that is 1/2" shorter.
snomobeelr
Its not the Power steering pump belt. Its difficult to get a picture to come out with the way the belt looks " wonky" from the crank to the Water pump pulley. It doesn't make noise when starting or under regular driving. Only full throttle. At 1st I wasn't sure if it was the belt or the air going into the carb.
Dtret
You can tell it’s off line. It’s not horrible though. Can you fix it with some shimming?
MC1of80
Tighten the belt. Mic drop.
