Andreas
Glasstek Best hands down...
Chevyss
I do believe Andreas is correct. I bought a VFN hood w/4" cowl and the fitment isn't very good. I received it and had to cut about two inches of the scoop just to get it to fit. Had pin holes in the edges of the scoop. After seeing a few, Glastech would be my next choice. bigtankjones
Glasstek. Just sold mine to a member in Ohio. I bought it off of E-bay brand new in '09.
Jared Richey
Glass Tek here too. Turned out nice.
WHITE KNIGHT 71
I still got a Glass Tech 4" cowl hood I'm not using.
680HPStroker
I'll second a VFN bolt on hood with a 4" cowl is a POS. Came with a bow and massive edge pinholes. Their customer service, well let's just say they don't and leave it at that.
cudax
Looking on Glassteks' website, it doesn't look like they make a 2" cowl for our cars. Anyone know different? Mike
TX72M0nte
2" cowl is a special order from them.
Enigmatic
Ok, so let me ask you guys a quesiton about Glasstek. I have seen their 4 inch cowl hoods and some look differnet than others. What I mean is some look like the cowl goes all the way to the end of the hood and others seem to not...can you guys explain. Not all the way to the end. All the way to the end If someone can explain please let me know why this is or is it just an optical illusion. Thanks Lloyd
Jared Richey
This one goes to the end. With the others you could still run a hood spear.
Enigmatic
true...but are both styles made by Glasstek? If you look at their site at the pictures of the hood laying on the ground it does not go all the way to the end. I may have to call them to get my answer.... 71monteme
i bought mine when they first came out with them, at least 6-7 years ago. could be a different production runs, also like Jared said- could be the hood spear. thanh
