1970-72 Monte Carlos Did all cars with Duel Exhaust regardless of engine size received rear exhaust resonators?

My 1971 350 4BBL had single exhaust with no resonator.

I have never seen resonators on any Monte exhaust system. Single or dual exhaust. On the 70 Chevelle SS454, yes.

The '70 402 I bought new in '70 had dual exhausts with resonators on both sides.  I removed them in '73 when I replaced the stock mufflers with Blue Walker glasspacks - BIG sound difference!

I believe all 1970-1972 Monte Carlos equipped with factory duel exhaust regardless of engine received exhaust resonators at the factory.

Out of curiosity I contacted the original owner of my 71 SS and he said the car did not have the resonators.

It shows resonators in my 1971 Monte Carlo assembly manual.
