  1. Finished the sail panels today, this is not a job, this is a fun project. Something I look forward to after I get off work.. posting pictures of passengers side sail panel because it was the worst. Previous guy didn’t do such a good job, looks like he put contact glue behind cloth but it caused it to bubble.. second picture is same side I did with new sail panel backing and cloth.. I surely do think mine looks better. Maybe I’m biased. You decide. Anyway, ms Monte is very happy πŸ˜ƒ...On to the next project, Woohoo...

  4. Thanks for checking and I will get you to check just regular snail mail if I can't find something locally. I could always go with a chrome one but it would really stick out on a stock engine. Look like I only had enough money for the stat housing in the dressup kit.

  6. Super glue gel. On the back side only. Gorilla glue takes too long to set and contact glue has gas bubbles. Staples are typically too long. Watch the fingers tho. I used clamps and only did a 4-5 inch section at a time starting in middle so there would be no crimps.

  7. Hi all, I've been lurking around here for a few months now, but this is my first post. I've found a lot of valuable information here! Thanks for that! Anyway, My name is Mike Sapia, and I live in the Texas panhandle. My dad taught me how to drive in his 71 MC, and I've been in love with them since. Unfortunately Dad sold his before I got my license, but I was finally able to get one of my own back in April. She is a survivor car! All original except for the obvious, and I also got the build sheet with her. She is just a base model with 350 2bbl/TH350. She has a couple of upgrades such as tilt steering, remote mirror, and premium hubcaps. She's not perfect, of course. She has a few little rust issues, and needs paint (still has original paint), but a very straight car! Anyway, thanks for letting me join the forums and hang out. If there is anyone here in my area, feel free to reach out! I have the only first gen around here that I know of!

  9. Turns out he is a super laid-back, legitimate dude. Currently restoring a β€˜69 Camaro SS convertible and a β€˜70 442 Cutlass convertible. I also noticed a β€˜69 AMX Javelin with a 390 tucked off in a corner awaiting restoration and a C3 β€˜Vette under a cover. He did mention that he came from across the city to this particular garage, which might lend credence to your inability to hook up with him. Either way, if anyone needs me to check out any thing he might have listed, I’d be happy to do so, just give a shout.

  10. See Joe you can do clean poetry. From the man who built the huge car stall he has now become the envy of us all

  12. My poetry tends to be more on the 'John Valby' side of things, the censorship would be working overtime.
