  1. 1971 Canadian Built 402 4 speed. GM of Canada notes that 66 in total with the M20 but does not indicate the engine size. If you remove the 42 small blocks with the M20, I would guess that the remaining 24 would have been with the 402 motor. The 3 Canadian built Montes that I have posted all had painted tops, 2 with the D99 option and the other was a solid color without the trim.
  2. 1971 Canadian built 350 4 speed. GM of Canada indicates that 42 with the M20 and L48 where built in Canada.
  3. 1971 Canadian built 402 4 speed, with the line sheet
  4. 1971 350 4 speed, I have the original title, BOS etc from new.
  5. Build sheet for a 1970 I had, sadly I sold this one and it ended up in Ohio I think. Found the build sheet in the back of the drivers bucket seat. Dennis, I noticed this is from the same plant as yours and with a red "M"
  6. One more all original 1970 402 4 speed with console.
  7. Dan, I have attached a picture of a 1971 350 4 speed bench seat car that I have. This car is a one owner all original, never been painted so I am pretty confident that this is the original shifter knob. This car also came to me with the original Muncie in a box. \ I do agree with Dennis and the Muncie shifters, just awful. When I restored my Mulsanne Blue 402 4 speed I went all original including the Muncie shifter linkage. It was all great until we drove the car. At the Western meet in Spokane, WA the shifter stuck in between 1st and second on a major road with bumper to bumper traffic. I had to basically hide under the car (to avoid having my legs run over) with a 9/16' wrench to force it back into neutral. Burnt my arms on the exhaust. Ah good times with the ole Muncie, lol.
  8. Royce did a lot of work to that car. He had a full race 700 R4 in it to start but did not like the launch and went back to the TH 400. Great deal for someone when he sold it all
  9. Back on topic,🤣 Welcome Ross, beautiful Monte that you have

    Welcome!!!
  11. Two days drive to get to the show and two days drive home, worth it??? 100% worth it. Thank you for another great event Aaron, you do an amazing job organizing these events. Met so many new FGMCC members that I have not met in the past. Such a great group!!!
  12. From what I have seen over the years, the 70 and 71 with console, the knob was chrome. The 1970 without console had the White knob with the shift pattern and for 1971, I always believed that it was the black round knob with the shift pattern. I started looking into the 1971 without console a few years back and I now believe that you have the correct shifter knob Dan. I have a 1971 4 speed that has never been restored or painted and it has the exact same knob as yours Dan. Of course I took it off as I thought it was wrong and now need to find it, duh. I am not an expert, just voicing what I have seen.
  13. Great idea Dan, thanks for doing this. I will send you some build sheets next week when I get home.
  14. Beautiful SS Glen!! I know the problem, it was the water in the cooler. If it was full of beer, you would have won 1st place 😃
  15. Hello Andreas, good to see you back. Great news that the family is doing well and I am happy to hear you still have your Monte.

Welcome John, beautiful Monte you have!! Do I see dual quads??
  17. cool, i need him to deliver another car, but he does not know this yet. 😁
  18. Welcome Gary and congrats on the nice purchase
  19. Thanks for sharing the info Joe. I just talked to Mike the owner, very nice and very knowledgeable. Not the cheapest but he had the exact part number booster that I needed. I had to order it, 😁
  20. The one Bill has posted is a different Monte, it is a Canadian built 4 speed with a White painted top. The one that Rob is talking about just sold at BJ in AZ in January. It sold for 50k plus commissions for a total of 55k. I personally looked at it and although it has a very interesting story and is a nice car, 80k is too much in my opinion. This car has been discussed here and the previous owner before Robs friend shared some great info.
