    Western Meet 2010

I will go for either but more cars is always better so if it were up for a vote I would go with Bend. Nygel
  6. Rod,Dave. There is ALWAYS something happening at Sac Raceway. Foxhunt drags and Governor's cup should be coming up. Every Wed is 7 bucks race all night. Every weekend there is racing too. If I'm on the main street out on Sunday afternoon I can sit and watch a steady stream of hot rods coming out of there on and off trailers. Nygel
  7. My buddy did it on a 54 chevy pickup. I never realized it was that much work. Once you shave that rail off the whole thing wants to separate into 2 pcs. You have to do sections and take your time. From what I saw it wasn't super difficult, just very time consuming. Nygel
  8. Quote: Quote: that would be cool Nygel, I forgot about Sac Raceway. I'll see if I can get a calander of events off the web. Maybe I could bring it up there and we could go have some fun. I lived off of Laguna across from the Apple facility. Thanks again..Dave Dave, that would be awesome! Sac Raceway is still a great track. I know exactly where Apple is. I am about 10 minutes from there. I live in the homes across from the big softball complex in Elk Grove. Small world, huh? Nygel
  9. I live in Elk Grove. Sacramento Raceway is still going strong and is only 15 minutes away from me. I can hear them running from my house. I will find out when the next Kingdon day is and let you know. No B.S. It will really take you back! Nygel
  10. Car looked awesome lining up next to that 56. Speaking of old California tracks, they are running a couple times a year at the old Kingdon Raceway up in Lodi again Dave. I went last year. HUGE turnout. It was like stepping back into an old HOT ROD magazine photo. Nothing has changed since it closed in '75. No updated anything. Kinda' dangerous, WAY COOL! A whole bunch of old timers from "back in the day" show up with their old hot rods that they still have and beat on them. They are the coolest people to talk to. Nygel Ny

The Cherries Jubilee show is a Top Notch show for the future. I went last year and had a blast. I didn't drive my Monte on the track but I did opt for 5 laps in a Porsche race car as a passenger. That dude was flying! The cruises were great and I have yet to find an evening show that can compare with the one up and down Cannery Row. Awesome people and a great location on the coast. You hear that Big Block guys? NO OVER HEATING! Great weather. Nygel
  12. And I guess the real question here is....How did you bend the studs in the first place?.....lol smile That's what I was wondering. Nygel
  13. Scott, It's a great idea and if I didn't get a set for Christmas I would be all over it. Nygel
  14. My 72 came STOCK with the rubber push-in cap. Hope this helps Aaron. Nygel
  15. That does sound good! Nygel
  16. I checked with Bill before installing my GV and took the rubber pads out as he suggested. All went smooth and didn't have to hammer on the tunnel at all. No vibrations and no negative issues. I also went with the dimmer switch. It seems much cleaner and works well. Nygel
  17. I've got a Gear Vendor. Smartest money I have spent on my car. Works awesome. I don't mess with mine at all. Since the day I put it in it has been in the Auto mode. Nygel
  18. Quote: Now that's the way to go, pretty much bullet proof...I love mine...grin I've had mine for almost 2 years and it has been flawless. I live mine too! Nygel
  19. That car sounds healthy Jake.
  20. Side note on 700s, TCI makes a valve body that eliminates the TV cable problem. It supplies high pressure all the time so you can't burn up your tranny by mis-adjusting it. That valve body sound like the Hot Ticket!
  21. No, please. Beat your head against the wall.
  22. LOL. What makes it rhetoric? The fact that I'm not buying into what you believe?
