  1. It ain't easy being green..... lol Is $200.00 usd the going rate for a good battery these days ??? I paid $120.00 cdn for an Interstate last fall, and that was the second highest they carried.
  2. I'm trying the Interstate version.... Green car, green battery. lol I pull the battery for the winter months and charge it every now and then. It's down in the basement in a nice, warm spot.
  3. But the best part is the nurse administering the test.
  4. Hi Tom... These are both aftermarket "high performance" replacement items. I don't think G.M. makes them, but, like you said, they should give you an idea of the difference.... The push rod should be 5.75" long by 0.50" dia. Same rod for both big and small blocks. Scott.
  5. Hey Tom, I found a couple images on a Holley affiliated website that might be of some help.... Top one is for a small block.. Scott.
  6. Just a thought, not meaning to add to the variables, but the rod between the cam lobe and the pump arm could also add to the mystery.
  7. A "fix" is a "fix"...... No matter who your dealer is.
  8. Old style oatmeal chocolate chip "Dad's" cookies in milk.....
  9. Week or Month ??? I've heard different opinions.
  10. We don't have as many options up here.... It was the vanilla and chocolate creme sandwiches for years, but they're not as good since they switched brands. The chocolate-mint wafers are still O.K.
  11. Sounds more like a fishing expedition to me....
  12. When I was a kid, my Grandmother was a guide leader...... I still remember the pallet of cookies arriving and sitting on the living room every year. Mind you, they were a buck a box back then, and that was still a lot for a kid to come up with. And she didn't take credit. lol
  13. That's why I have a cat instead of a dog. Naps are a mandatory part of their lives.
  14. Hello Leo, and welcome. I had an issue something similar on a '76 Chev C-10 years ago. when the key was in the off position, the accessories still had power..... I found that the actual ignition switch on the column was loose and out of adjustment. Sometimes they get that way as they get older. By the way, is your Monte a column or console shift ?
  15. I was going to ask.... Do you still drive at night ?? lol
  16. Girl Guides here in Canada..... Should be hitting the box store vestibules pretty soon.
  17. Hey Tom, Are you using a "W" block or Mark 4 block ? Rumour is that the Mark 4 uses a different pump, whereas the "W" uses the same one as a small block except with a bigger holding tank and discharge fittings. Hope that helps, and welcome to the machine.
  18. Hey Mike, Classic Body Parts has been mentioned a couple times...

Hi Mike, I was just wondering if it's an original 350 cid two barrel carb car with few options. Might have been purchased bare with the intent of being converted into a track racer ??? Scott.
  22. I had a '71 emblem on my '70.... Switched it to a '70. There's lots of adjustment room on the grill.
  23. Love the exhaust tips...... And the sound they're making. 👍
  24. You could probably take the old spring for comparison....
