  1. Dance like no one's watching....
  2. Camaros are like the girls you'd NEVER take home to meet Mom........ Dad maybe, but NEVER Mom.
  3. All Camaros are nasty...... Montes are CLASSY.
  4. As Dennis said, which way are you planning to go ? If you're going original, and adding the console, etc, it's quite a few steps. But if "modified" is your choice, just about anything can be made to work. Just remember..... Test fitting a couple times before making any modifications is ALWAYS the best way. I read an article a few years ago that Acura seats were an easy fit if you go with the factory console and are looking for a comfortable bucket. Welcome to the circus.
  5. That's a lot of seats..... Planning on opening a movie theater ? lol
  6. Could the a/f be coming from a leaky heater core ? A quick pressure test on the cooling system should show something. As for the trans fluid, which seems to be a lot, does it originate at the inspection pan ? If so, Blake350's nailed it's cause.
  7. I'm not sure.... My thinking is that it could work, but probably best to get a wire guy to say for sure.
  8. Thought I'd send you a couple pics of newer versions..... Just 'cuz.
  9. Welcome Kevin.... Looks like you've found a good use of your retirement time..... (and savings)
  10. Wesley, just quick question.... Are you hooked on the factory original 8-track ? Or are you open to "original looking" ? I ask because there are several companies that make updated versions of original looking equipment, and, although I haven't really looked, 8 ohm speakers could be expensive and hard to find. Scott.
  11. Max would be envious.....
  12. I've found a couple local places that carry paint that might do the trick..... Have to check them out.
  13. Your "One stop shop for all things First Gen Montes"
  14. A little love and a lot of elbow grease would make her look good again. Be interesting to see more of whats under the hood. But the body seems to be O.K.
  15. Hi Mark, Yeah, the local shop mentioned them too..... By the time all was calculated, I was looking at about $1000.00 (cdn) to get it done. Close to $800.00 to get a new one from OPGI as well. Other than the one major crack, the rest is in pretty good shape. And now that I've got that dealt with, I just need to repaint it. SEM seems to be a popular choice so far..... Am just curious as to hear what kind of results people have had.
  16. For me it wasn't so much the access to the plugs as much as the burnt wires causing a problem.
  17. Not sure what brand my headers are, they came with the car. But the problem is the same. Had to unbolt them and went with the short plugs (NGK) as well. Guess that's why so many members prefer big blocks.....LOL
  18. Now that's probably more rare than a numbers matching car..... Makes one curious as to if it was a special order car at the dealership ?
  19. I pulled the dash pad and inquired at an upholstery shop about repairs.... Told me it was to far gone to fix. So I did some re-enforcing and filled the cracks with an epoxy, just need to sand it smooth. Any recommendations on a good vinyl spray to re finish it ??? It's 1970 Forest Green and I'm hoping to find a good match. Scott.
  20. And the "old school" ones float in the pool.
  21. That's a lot of coozies !!! Up here it rarely gets warm enough, and our bevies don't sit around long enough to need them.
  22. Welcome Wesley, From the looks of the pin connector, it appears to be the one that plugs into the player.. also known as the "head unit". I don't think you'll find an adapter, but if the previous owner bought the stereo as a package, the Pioneer website should have a diagram that will guide you to what goes where. Then it should be a simple job of matching wires..... Best 'o' luck, Scott
