  1. Thats somewhat in order, the middle of it might be off a little bit. Going through pictures now to post
  2. I'll play along. Like many others, I'm sure I'll forget a few. I'll have to make a second post with some pics.I had a list writen down at one point, but after moving, I'm not sure where it is. It's around here somewhere. It will probably be a few years before everything is unpacked again. 1968 Buick Skylark 1979 Monte Carlo 1970 Buick GS350 1978 Pontiac Grand Prix 1977 Buick LeSabre w/ Pont 455 engine 1976 Monte Carlo 1990 Ford Explorer Sport 1988 Acura Integra 1992 Saturn SL1 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer 1988 Ford Taurus 1980 Datsun pick up (project) 1986 Mercury Cougar 1984 Mercury Cougar 1987 Mercury Cougar XR7 1987 Ford F250 diesel 1994 Mercury Sable 1989 Ford Taurus SHO 1990 Ford Crown Vic Station Wagon 1998 Ford Windstar 1998 Ford Expedition 1988 Bronco II !999 Ford Mustang 35th Anniversary GT 1977 Ford F250 351/4speed 1993 Ford F350 Crew Cab diesel/5 speed 1995 Ford Escort SW 2001 Lincoln LS 2003 Ford F150 Super Crew 1997 Lincoln Continental 1997 Ford Explorer 2006 Ford Five Hundred 1972 Ford LTD convertible 2014 Ford Taurus 2014 Ford Edge Sport 1956 Pontiac Starchief 2018 Jaguar F Pace 1971 Monte Carlo 2017 Jaguar XF R-Sport 2017 Ford F250 2022 Jaguar F Type R 2020 Jaguar F Pace SVR 2023 Jaguar F Pace SVR Edition 1988 2018 Range Rover Velar 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 1969 Buick GS400 2024 Jeep Wrangler Willys Didn't list the project cars that never got finished or were junked. (67 Fairlane, 67 Olds 442, 70 Buick GS455, 69 Buick GS400 are the first that come to my mind) Pics to follow.
  3. Congrats Aaron!! Looks fantastic. I got my copy a week or 2 ago.
  4. Yes, that's my car before the bodywork was started. I think Jared S was saying that he'll leave his vinyl top on for as long as possible to avoid having to do bodywork. I get that, sometimes I wished I left my car alone and drove it. In the end, mother nature always prevails and you'll either have to do repairs, or sell it and move on to something else. Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm real excited to see color on this soon.
  5. Getting closer to paint. The body is blocked and ready to go. They are now working on prepping the insides of the front fenders, and underneath the hood and trunk, for sealer and paint.
  6. Just wondering here, If you have newer 4 ohm speakers, can you add a 4 ohm resistor to the speaker circuit? Wouldn't that create the 8 ohms of resistance that the radio wants to see?
  7. Looks great!! Betcha can't wait for the finished product!!! John
  8. Not sure if that page is a scam on not. I've never seen it before. But there a Facebook page called "Lost Muscle Cars" tht is dedicated to finding old muscle cars. Its an interesting page. John
  9. By the way, Mark. Nice looking Cougar.
  10. I have had my Monte for over 2 1/2 years, and still no one has seen it in person. And it probably won't be ready for Carlisle this year either. Lol
  11. Thanks everyone. It's really coming along. Funny story I was told when I was there. The rear seat pan was replaced. In order to do that, the 2 support braces that go from the seat pan to the inner 1/4 structure had to be removed. Well, the guy who lives in the house on the shop property used to be a machinist. He comes in the shop from time to time to help out, use the lathe, clean the shop, etc. He accidently threw out one of the support braces, thinking it was just old metal that was going to be replaced. My body goes to put the braces back in and can't find one of the braces. He's like "I can't find one of the braces" The machinist is like "I threw that out last week, thought it was junk" The machinist feels terrible and proceeded to fabricate a new support plate. I'll be damned if the support brace he built looks better and stronger than the factory one.
  12. Wow, didn't realize its been 4 months since an update. It's still being worked on. All the trim was fitted, and all panels were bolted on and aligned. All gaps were check and adjusted. Everything is looking good. Now its taken apart again, with lots of guide coats and block sanding to get it perfect. I removed the dashboard, so they can coat the floorboards and firewall. Its coming along nicely and is real close to getting paint!! Pics to follow
  13. When I bought my Monte, it came with 4 cases full of 8 tracks, because it was equipped with a working GM 8 track tape player. It didnt really sound too good though. I'd like to find a way to have it rebuilt, but that far down the road. Most of my music is on my phone. Its so much nicer just to connect the phone to the car, no annoying DJ, no yappity yap yap, no commercials, and if I dont want to hear whats playing, just skip to the next tune. I just dont have the heart to throw out my 800 or so cassettes, not to mention my 500 album collection.
  14. Willie, I need the escape door. Couldn’t get out of the car with out it!
  15. I was at MCACN last weekend with some Buick friends, and there was 1 first gen MC. I was also able to run up to Wi and purchase a 69 Buick GS400. I had a great weekend.
  16. I have butchered wiring to deal with also. I took the dash out so the body shop can finish the floors and firewall up to the base of the windshield, also to make it real easy to install the Vintage Air system. Probably be at least 6 months before I get the car back. then it's reassembly time.
  17. I'd be interested in some dashboard parts. Took mine out last week and there seems to be some butchery going on that I did not know about. John
  18. Thanks for the info, Joe. I'll have to keep an eye out for a used set. Can't really see me spending over 1k for new set of Snap On, especially now that Im retired.
  19. So who makes these flare nut sockets? Might have to add them to my collection.
  20. So, since no one else asked. Are any parts for sale??
  21. I sold my camper on consignment back in 2015. For me, it was worth it. I was paying for storage, and when I wanted to sell, I moved it to the consignment place. I ended my storage contract, and could park it at the consignment at no charge. Had it sold within 1 month. Probably could have gotten a little more for it, but at the time I just wanted it gone. I think they charged 10% of the selling price, which was worth it to me. They weeded out all the deadbeats. The buyers ended up parking it near the beach and using it as a vacation home. John
  22. Thanks guys!! I knew I could rely on you for help. A few questions. Are the measurements given the same between the drivers side and passenger side manual bucket seats? Does anyone know if the forward outboard stud for the driver's power bucket seat is located in the same position as the manual bucket seat? Stopped by the shop to drop off the seats and inner fenders. No real update on the car. Everything is welded together, now its just a matter of fitting everything (doors, fenders, hood, inner fenders) drilling holes for trim, and block sanding the body for paint. We wanted to get the seats and console fitted so we can weld the brackets in place. Then they can coat the interior and trunk floor. They still seem to think it will be painted in the fall (that gives them to Dec21) but I don't see it happening, Plus, they are swamped with insurance work, which puts restorations on the back burner. I'm ok with that, I would rather it be done right then done fast.
