  1. All the best, Roger - may your restoration go smoothly...
  2. That looks GREAT! Nice job, Rock.
  3. Very sorry for your loss...
  4. Really sorry to hear the news, Tony - my thoughts and prayers for you, Alli, and the rest of your family. I just lost one of my best friends to a rare form of colon cancer. He was also the youngest of our "gang" growing up at 57.
  5. Hi Romain, Selecting the proper camshaft is extremely important - all your other choices are affected (carburetor, manifold, etc.) by your cam selection. If you're going to change cams, and given that you want good gas mileage and torque, I'd go with a cam and lifter kit from (for example) Edelbrock's Performer-Plus series of camshafts. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/camshafts/cams_chevy_sb.shtml Perhaps others can chime in here, but when selecting a cam, it's best to talk to an expert (i.e. call the manufacturer for advice). Holley or Edelbrock? Personally, I like the looks of Holley carbs and am used to working on them. Either way, don't go too big. I've used both - either one should work fine.
  6. I would recommend an Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm carburetor (w/electric choke) and Edelbrock Performer intake (Air-Gap not necessary, but they do look cool) - JMO. NOTE: If you do upgrade to a 4-bbl you will need to upgrade your exhaust as well (headers, dual exhaust).
  7. I got mine from Dixie Monte Carlo Depot several years ago (Part # DA10222). They don't seem to carry them anymore. OPGI lists them online but they apparently aren't in stock till mid-November: http://www.opgi.com/monte-carlo/M240137/ I'd give Leo at Konik's Klassics a call. If he has them, I'll bet you'll get a better price. Note that these reproductions are made out of a stiffer, harder plastic than the originals, which were more flexible.
  8. Really looking good, Mike!!!
  9. Big show! Nice Montes there - thanks for sharing!
  10. Thanks guys - really appreciate the input.
  11. Are the lens for the Chevelle as shown in this eBay listing like those used on the FGMC? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Camaro-VIGI...99b&vxp=mtr What are the differences, if any? Thanks, Bob
