  1. I agree with Dennis - looks fantastic, Willie - nice work!!!
  2. WOW! Great photos, and beautiful cars!!!!!!
  3. Glad your surgery went well, Darren! Congrats on the Monte.
  4. Thanks Willie! Actually, I never sanded mine (Larry mentioned sanding his earlier in the thread). I just cleaned with mineral spirits and 3M adhesive remover and then polished them.
  5. Very sorry to see your recovery isn't very smooth. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers - get well soon!
  6. I wanted to keep the factory-look, so I just cleaned and polished mine. Some use a semi-gloss black to match the rest of the underhood area. As far as marching the factory dark brown, I don't think you could match it with any color, because of the visible fibers that are molded into it. Here are a couple more photos of the factory finish:
  7. My thoughts and prayers as well, Rob - get well soon.
  8. Hope it all works out to your satisfaction, Mike!
  9. Great-looking Monte! Love the color. Sounds like you've got big plans for the motor - should be awesome!
  10. Hey Austin, No one is picking on you - everyone here loves photos, and it's a good-natured "informal rule" that when upgrades are made to a member's car, or if something else good (or bad) occurs, photos are posted as well. Often, one can learn from or get ideas for his/her own car from a photo or series of photos. I know I have. As they say, "one picture is worth 1000 words." So don't take it personally - I think just about everyone here has had "no pictures, didn't happen" directed at them as well at one time or another.
  11. The Parts Place has them: http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/ocatalog...ord=crossmember They also have the metal brackets.
  12. After cleaning mine up, I used Mother's plastic polish and a Powerball (actually their headlight restoration kit). It turned out a lot better than I expected. In order to clean off the accumulated grease, sealant, etc., I used either 3M adhesive remover or 100% mineral spirits - neither of which damaged the plastic/fiberglass.
  13. Your Monte looks great!!!
  14. Abe - here are the instructions included with my NOS set of rear bumper guards (it also shows the front guards - I don't know if or how many Montes actually have the top bracket depicted). A very basic template was also included - I'll mail copies to you - I still have your address.
  15. I've got one for the rear as well (in case Rob can't find his).
