  1. I'm not sure about the mad box but I have an issue when my car sits out in the sun or the interior gets hot the tach doesn't work. If the car cools down the tach works fine. Good luck
  2. I believe they are the same for all three years
  3. Dan, I just double checked my build sheet and the codes are: positive NH and negative PF. I got lucky with the parts place having the correct cables that came from American Wire. You are correct that some of the folks there have an attitude problem. There is a couple old gear heads that work the counter that are pretty good to deal with.
  4. Thanks Dan, it looks like the parts place has the same part numbers as american wire. The parts place is 20 minutes from my house so it's hard not to call them.
  5. Dan, is American Autowire the place to buy side post cables or did you go with the parts place. I'm also looking for a side mount battery but don't ready want to spend 359.00 on the R-79. Any idea what battery will do the job and allow for a topper. My battery is 6 years old and I'm still having intermittent starter problems. The prior owner put a top post battery in the car.
  6. Welcome, great looking Monte
  7. Ron,, I only have one side not a pair. Dan, I will let you know, Thanks
  8. I will check my spare parts and see if I have a pair. Dan what does your detent plate run?
  9. I might have a used pair, but if Dan makes you a pair you cant go wrong.
  10. Nice work, it's a shame that it's tucked up under the rear of the car and nobody gets to see it.
  11. That looks like a winner, do you have a price in mind?
  12. Looks like a great car, welcome to the club.
  13. Welcome to the club. Looks like a solid car. Keep us posted
  14. Dito.... Dan is the man for brackets and links. He did a pair of brackets for me and there better than new..good luck with the compressor
  15. That would be great. I have tried to get a hold of Steve, a forum member who is going to the show that said he may have one. I know he's busy prepping for the show. I sent him your picture so he might check. Not sure if you are going but if so keep an eye out and have a good time. Thanks Paul
  16. Willie, That looks like a winner, now I need to find the bracket, Thanks
  17. I'm running P225/70R15 but don't have skirts. I'm thinking about switching to 245/60R15. But with all the complaints about the ta's turning brown I may also change to cooper. I haven't heard any complaints about those.
  18. Where is the date on the build sheet?? Number 10 on mine shows 87 06-03 so I assume mine was born on June 3rd does that sound correct?
  19. Dennis, back to the drawing board, the parts book shows a different solenoid with a single wire terminal. The part number of the solenoid is 1114421 which I can find but I still am unsure how it would mount so I'm still looking for a picture of a 70 big block. I have attached a picture of my carb. any help would be great. Thanks
  20. Did what Joe posted, I have used some of their hardware kits
  21. My big block has been doing the same thing. My car had a heat shield when I got it and left it off with the new starter. A forum member suggested I put it back on which I did. Since I put it back on I have had a couple times when the car did the same thing, turn the key and nothing. Another member suggested that the ignition switch may need to be adjusted. I just checked my connections at the switch and they are fine. The last time my car acted up was on a cold start. You may want to add the heat shield. The starter solenoid is very close to the exhaust manifold.
