  1. Thanks Tom, so I would also be interested in a nice used black wheel and shroud. I don't think I will ever take out the tilt wheel. Thanks again
  2. I saw a nos green green horn shroud on ebay but he's asking 499.00 plus shipping . A little more than I want to spend. I may try to repair and repaint the wheel. I did change the column to black, did they then put a black wheel on the car with a black column??
  3. Anyone have a original Green steering wheel, shroud and button. I'm thinking about going back to a stock wheel if I can find one. I have the wheel but it's cracked. The shroud is gone. Let me know if anyone has one.
  4. Wow, great looking Monte and 11000 miles. Nicely done.
  5. Nice color from what we can see. Like Joe says, spill......
  6. I think so, it came off when I was running down the starting problem on the car. I can't remember what color the other wire was, but I would take that too. Let me know, thanks
  7. Should be the engine or dash, I believe it was for the tachometer and mounts to the coil.
  8. Willie, do you have is connector? I thick it was on the tach wire.
  9. That's a good question. I never noticed that. The car only has one clock
  10. Here's mine Dennis. Have fun!
  11. Glad you fixed the problem, Your Monte looks great. It looks like you need one more big project, move the steering wheel to the other side......LOL
  12. Great looking Monte. I'm near Chicago so maybe we can meet up some time.
  13. Congratulations, and welcome to the club. Any pictures, details?
  14. Looks great, I used polishing compound to get the scratches out of plastic lens. I thought there was a write up hear or maybe on the internet. I saw that toothpaste may work
  15. So sorry to hear this sad news. Condolences to your family
  16. I have a couple, one rebuilt and one in the process of being rebuilt
  17. Good thought, pictures are the key. I might be looking for a project but would really like to find a 4 speed
  18. There is a good write up on the forum that Dennis (mcfan) did a while back . It gives you step by step instructions. Work slow and take your time and you'll be surprised what you can do. And if you get stuck just ask your questions here.
  19. Yes, a real rip off there. Can you try to do some of the repairs yourself? You can find a lot of help here. I also wish I was closer to help.
  20. Did you convert to R134 freon?? Or still using R12??
  21. I hope you find a member close by to help. Good luck
  22. Thanks, Rob, Dan and Dennis, I going to try the mounts that Dan referenced. They measure almost the same as the original. Now I need to find the gasket material. I bought another compressor on ebay last week to try to rebuild. I took it apart last night and soaked it in evapo-rust and after 1 night the parts came out almost spot less. I thought I would pass the evapo-rust product along for the members that haven't heard of it. I'll post some pictures when I get it done
  23. Thanks Dan, I will get those ordered, and give them a shot
  24. Thanks, that's what was thinking. The mounts are the parts I really need. I thought that I've seen them somewhere but can't remember, it's hell getting old.
