  1. Mine is a 15/30 car, looks great from 15 feet or 30 mph going down the road. Maybe we can set that up sometime but I have to get the NY enhanced license or pasport or they wont let me into Canada. They have to keep the rif raf out ya know
  2. Oh heck MG your not that far from me your on the north east tip of the lake and im on the south east tip of the lake I guess I didnt relize that.
  3. Well I changed my mind I just got the rear ones and going to stay with the rims I have for now. Life got in the way again my garage door broke and had to order a new one and my deck project is going over budget too. I will get them mounted up this weekend and put up pictures.
  4. They have the holes for the sway bar but to me they look a little cheesey (cheep) maybe its just the picture. For me I would prefer welding sleeves inside mine and welding the plates on. Or tring to find a set of boxed arms, but thats just me.
  5. Do they have a spot to bolt the sway bar to them? and do need to buy the matched sway bar?
  6. I aggree with droping the pan but if it was me I would fill it up first and see if it moves first. Tranny fluid is pretty cheep and with the hi detergent content in it it may clean it out a bit. If it moves and shifts ok then I would do the service on it.
  7. Yes fill it up with fluid and run it a bit and see if theres anything there, what can it hurt tranny fluid isnt that expensive and that way youll know.
  8. Ah come on Dan you just want to join the blue crew, welcome
  9. Oh I like that blue that was close to my choice nice progress
  10. Let me just say this MGD what you have there is a show car! It may never be a trailer queen but would you really want that? I know I dont. That is a very nice monte you have there and would be a hit at any car show. Just wanted to throw that out there.
  11. I would be willing to bet there is still a listing for that just tell them you want the muffler that takes place of the orignal
  12. The only thing you will notice is lower temps. Of corse you will not have to much heat if you turn your heater on. If you need the heat you will not be getting it with that thermastat. I know its kinda cool up there but how often do you drive it when you need the heat?
  13. Stock muffler was 2 1/2 inlet 2 outlet single or dual bb or sb and if I remember correctly about 25 or 27 inches long I do remember the old ap # from back in the day it was M1049 why I remember is because we sold so freakin many of them. I could probably find the spects in some old books but do you really need them?
  14. When you say stock exhaust is it single or dual? big block or small? factory exhaust or something someone built or aftermarket like a pypes system? headers or manafolds?
  15. One thing I learned the hard way is to never ever tighten or even snug one bolt untill all three are at least started in at least a few threads. Also make sure the converter is in the front of the transmission properly a good rule is if you can fit your fingers between the converter and the trans its not in properly (all the way)
  16. Oh yea and be carefull that dust may contain asbestos flush it with water or brake cleaner
  17. Check the return springs and the rod for the self adjuster are hooked up properly and that the springs are still good. Make sure all the parts are there and none fell out. Also check to make sure the parking brake cables are free
  18. to what green Tony said. Arsin congrats on winning those wheels. I love then wheels on someone elses car but not mine way to much cleaning for me
  19. Could also be a brake hardware part floating around in side the drumb
  20. We have a guy that lives around here somewhere that has a corvair wagon that he tows a period correct camping trailer with. He brings the car and trailer to the shows its kinda neet. Tom Carter has a class 3 hitch on his 70 Monte but I dont know if he uses it ill ask him when I see him.
  21. Well it looks like im going with the Mickey Thompsons front and rear, 235/60 front and 255/60 rear and the Jegs polished aluim wheels. The ones that look like the centerlines. Now all I have to do is pull the trigger and order them. Thanks for the help guys.
