  1. I thought about making a tool for that but I just had the experts put on new springs when rebuilding the old hinges. Glad I went that way for sure.
  2. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I'm having turkey and all the fixings here too. From what I understand Joe was asked to bring a dish where he was going so this is what he made 🤣🤣🤣 please everyone have a safe day!
  3. to the club Good luck in your quest to find your Monte. I'm sure Joe will help you out.
  4. Pink is just another color! I was at the Syracuse nationals one year and bought a pink t-shirt from the Baldwin foundation for breast cancer, while walking around with my pink bag they gave me I stopped at another booth and bought something else the guy said do you want to put your pink bag in this one so no one sees it I said no, I don't have a problem carrying it around.
  5. Michael I wish nothing but the best for your mom and have so much respect for you stepping up to take care of her, I know it's not easy. As we always say family first for sure! We miss you and Ann but completely understand.
  6. There is space to park the hauler at hotel and the club ropes off one section of the parking lot for our cars. I've never had a problem there and as far as I know no one else ever has either. No one likes leaving the car out overnight and some cover them up if they choose but it's a pretty safe area.
  7. Don't look like an awful difficult install nice work. Have to let us know how it all works out when done.
  8. Ok I'll agree with that I was talking stock. Pretty sure he's staying bone stock on his.
  9. Good rule of thumb is if you can't fit your fingers between the converter and the trans it should be all the way in. But definitely yes put converter on the tranny first before bolting to motor like Tom said if the original bolts are good use them.
  10. Phil, nice looking car for sure, you did a great job on it.
  11. 72 grill and bumper and 70 tail light bezels what else?
  12. Rob I would love to say yes but can't right now, hopefully within the next couple weeks I'm hoping to have the answer 🤞
  13. First I'd call to make sure they have it in stock, also I'd suggest the center link (as long as your going to do all of that) not in that kit and probably going to have to have the bushings pressed in. Good luck be careful with the springs they can hurt.
  14. Not sure how far your going on front end or how experienced you are but some parts of that can be very dangerous, be very careful!
  15. I agree Dennis I can't do that stuff and my brother is just as bad at body work as me lol. But he has a friend of his that's a great metal and body guy. I'm not terrible at finishing but takes me twice as long. Great work there.
  16. I learned that here from Aaron, I always had a helper at the shop that would pull down in the tire to get them in. One time at the shop I worked at was working on a ferd and another guy put a pry bar between the axel and frame to get a spring in well the bar slipped and I moved out of the way but my foot stayed planted on the floor my knee twisted nicely had surgery 3 weeks later was out of work for 10 weeks that's why I'm always very careful working on stuff now. Safety first.
  17. If you put a jack on the opposite side jack it up a bit it should slide right in then do the same on the other side you don't need spring compressor. Of course with any spring installation be careful they can jump out and bite.
  18. She was a dirty girl, glad you got her cleaned up and back to her glory.
  19. She's beautiful for her age and miles. Like a fine wine or a woman gets better with age!
  20. The only draw back to full synthetic oil is that it will find very small leaks but the 10w30 may not be to bad. The other thing is back in the day when switching from regular oil to synthetic it may use a a quart or so quickly so check oil often if your switching. I like the fact that it has all the additives. Please let us know how it works out for you as it may be another choice to use. I use the lucas hot rod oil now with no problems really. Mine will probably be rebuilt in the next 5000 miles or so.
  21. That's awful Willie, I am so sorry to hear this. So sorry for your and your family's loss.
