Blue Goose
Are the bumpers interchangeable on 70-72s? Maybe this has been done, but I think some driving lights would look good in the holes left by the park lights.
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
I had given some thought having the 70 front bumper on my 72 and using driving lights in the bumper. I think it would look very good. Until I need to rechrome or replace my bumper, it will have to wait. But should you do it, make sure we get some pic's. overdrive
It's been done. The brackets for a '70 have an area that's formed around the turn signals. Depending on what lights you use, you may need '70 brackets for the clearance. Dan
MCfan
Marc, It has also been done to use the round parking light holes in the '70 bumper as intakes for dual fresh air ducts as shown in the photos below.
cbolt
That pic is from Kissimmee, right Dennis?
MCfan
Yes, photo was taken at the NMCOA Mini Meet on 11/06/2010. Were you there, also? Do you know the car/owner?
cbolt
Yes I was there and no I do not know the car owner. I thought that was a great idea, though. I didn't stand around much that day as it was pretty cold and windy. You brought your blue car from what I remember.

montefrazer
72 bumper on my 71= ............? No front blinkers/park lights since 72 has them in the grill.
downset71
Yup. Looks clean and flush. People in front of you dont need your blinkers anyway. Haha.
Blue Goose
Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure if I'll go looking for one or not, just checking to see if would fit properly.
footballubet
I like the idea of installing driving lights in the 70 bumper. It would make for a clean install.
