beater72
Who has dual horns? If so where are they mounted? I'm asking as I have seen them on the hood latch assembly and also on the read support itself up top...
Rob Peters
Mine are mounted on the hood latch assembly, one on each side of it rob
monte70car
Same as Rob's. My 70 has dual horns while my 72 had a single horn in the same place.
Leghome
All Chevelle and Monte Carlos had the horns mounted on the hood latch assy. At least that is where they were when I worked on them back in the early 70's.
Rob Peters
Same as Rob's. My 70 has dual horns while my 72 had a single horn in the same place. I have heard many times where a 72 only had one horn. I'm not saying all of them but it is my understanding many did only have one. rob

beater72
Thanks everyone... I'll post some more pics later this week. So slow going back together trying to find everything and how and where it goes!
Leghome
I more than likely made a lot of the horns on the 72's. I was working in the horn department at Delco Remy in late 71 and thru 73. Our inline ran about 10,130 horns a day and we had three lines running on day shift and two lines running on 2nd shift. So a normal day would produce about 50,000 horns. No wonder I am wearing hearing aids. They provided hearing protection but being indestructible most of us did not wear them properly. willie
I was looking at my horns today. 1 horn is a delco but it doesn't designate a (H) or (L). The other delco horn is smaller but is designates a (H). What gives? Did our cars have 2 different sizes or do i have wrong horns? Would it say on the build sheet if the car has 1 or 2 horns? I am building a 72 "W" code custom. Thanks
