Was at the Summit ET Divison 7 Finals in Las Vegas this weekend. Had a great time but didn't get to far in eliminations, mis-judged the head winds and dialed the car 2 hun to fast....DA was 5000'+ most of the weekend so the car was about 3 tenths slow but dead consistent....too bad the driver wasn't.. wink...here's an exterior and an in car of the same time trial run...hope you enjoy...

thanks Dave, I finally broke down and made a good mount for the in car camera so now it doesn't fly into the back seat on launch....not done yet, we're going back up there for PSCA this weekend so we just left the car and trailer at the track. PSCA is my big series, tied for number 1 in Street Muscle... wink

The car definitely robust as ever, great run. The in-car footage much more steady. Loved it.. thanks for sharing your passion. It's good seeing, and **feeling** what that beast can do. Next best thing to viagra, probably the best analogy I have. lol

thanks everyone....it's a good time being at the track, a lot of really great people and I've met a lot of new friends.

 

It is a passion and I'm grateful for the opportunity to do it. When you get excited about something you like to share it with friends so that's why I post some of the outings.

 

The air should be better this coming weekend so we'll see if the car picks back up some...thanks, Davey

Great videos. Just curious what is the weight differance between Your chevelle and Your monte and what it it take to get the Monte to run in the 10's ? Once again great videos and amazing cars You have there.

 

thanks Philip...I've never had the Monte on the scales but a guess would be about 350lbs difference. As for the Monte running 10's the major items are in place, it would take some tunning and suspension improvements. It's my wifes car and she's really not to keen on putting a rollbar in it so it's limited to 11.50 for now.... wink

Thats amazing to think that a street car can get down to 10's with some tuning and suspension.

When You say 350lbs Dave , is the Chevelle heavier or lighter ? Thanks for the reply

a lot of guys are doing it these days, pretty common with power adders but still a good feat with a just a carburetor. The Chevelle is still a pump gas street car and has run a best of 10.15 @ 130....with a little more cam and gear I think I will run a 9.9x...the Chevelle is the lighter one at 3550....
