AndyBill402
I need to control the night lights in a number of aftermarket gauges. I thought about adding a relay for this purpose, but I'll need to find a good place to tap off for the control voltage. This is in a 72 Monte. Expertise please. 7tonemonte
If they aren't LED you can tap a line off of the factory dimmer, it's been a while since I've done it. I remember it being in the gauge instructions. Hopefully someone here will chime in with more info as to which wire
monte70car
When I had the Auto Meter gauges under the dash I tied them into the fuse panel in the LMP plug.
wallaby
I also use the LMP plug on the fusebox. It's in the lower left corner of the box. That plug is already regulated by the dimmer in the headlight switch. However, what you'll find is that no matter how you twist the dimmer, the aftermarket gauges will be brighter than the rest of the dash lights. bigscaht
yeah the LMP plug works great but they gonna always be brighter than the dash!!!

72Ragtop
If your not using the original 3-terminal connector to the original radio, try the grey wire.
