  1. Ez pz. Doesn't the new stock cable assy have the nylon retainer already? If it does, Take the split plastic/nylon retainer off the stock cable. If not, Insert the stock cable through the eyelet/hole on the stock gas pedal. Install the retainer back/onto the cable and snap it into the gas pedal and then pull cable tight. Installed! This is after snapping the cable from the engine side onto the firewall . Hope this helps.
  2. I run the qa1 coilovers on the front of my 70 SS with tubular control arms off of eBay.
  3. Here are a few more I have on my phone. From what source, idk. Enjoy!
  4. Glad the pics I posted elsewhere are a help. Idk what view they are of. I purchased the pic off of eBay. Lol but I believe jft69z is correct.
  5. Absolutely can be done without removing the fenders. Also without removing the front tires if you like. You will need to jack the front up though to do it with the tires on. I usually jack up the front end and remove the tires also. Soo much easier. If you are really brave, you can do it with the tires on and not jacking the front up. Not fun though. Lolol
  6. You are welcome. Glad to be of assistance. Good luck!
  7. The ground up one will fit and work. The reason o believe they say it's not for a 400 is it has 2 bolt holes for the mount to attach. I believe the factory 400 mount was a single stud. Just use a 2 bolt trans mount if you don't have one already or a Polly mount. It usually has 3 bolt holes in it. The G force crossmember, if I remember correctly, needed 2 bolt holes to be enlarged slightly. Hope this helps.
  8. In addition to the things that jft69z stated I noticed..... The horn is mounted in the wrong location/position. The vinyl top is incorrect. Chevelle style. No air ride compressor. An SS Monte Carlos headlight, radio, and lighter controls should have the pic on them. No rear lower trim between blacked out panel and rear bumper. No pics of the under carriage. In my opinion it is a 402 car with SS badges. Nice overall looking car but not at that price. My opinion.....
  9. Hi Wayne. I got the rear seat kit and front seat foams and cloth covers, I have buckets, from legendary. They have the best foam for front seats. They also make the foam for the bench seat also.

Hello. The correct one is silver with the black bowtie.
  11. Hey Joseph. Take a look at tamaraz on eBay. They have a few different bumper manufacturers. I'm looking at the AMD bumpers. Triple chrome plated and the price is cheaper than opgi. Sometimes you can find the pair, front and rear together as a package from them. Good luck!!
  12. On my 70 SS that is pictured above I also installed a vacuum pump, behind the washer bottle on the fenderwells just for the heck of it. I had it in stock. Still cheaper than a hydroboost system. Just another option.
  13. The one I have is made for a Chevelle. Same as our Monte Carlo. The only thing is make sure the brackets from the booster to the firewall are for a Chevelle/A -body.
  14. Sorry, yes, I was thinking he meant the seal Rob pictured.
  15. I got mine from I believe inline tube or the right stuff. Have it on my 70 SS. I believe it's a 9" dual diaphragm with a stock look. I have stock valve covers with a 3/4 spacer. No clearance issue.
  16. Hey. That trim seal can be gotten from almost any GM parts place. It's the same seal for any A-body GM. Cutlass, Skylark, LeMans/GTO, Chevelle. Leo Konik, ausleys, ground up, opgi, year one, soft seal, etc But first I would look at the deal Rob Peters has with metro moulded. It's in the General 70-72 Monte Carlo area. Hope this helps.
  17. Thank you. The seats also have the best, at the time, foam that legendary also sells.
  18. Like Canuck, I used legendary interiors and am beyond happy in my 70 SS.
  19. To each their own. I like the metal, makes the front end/nose stiffer, more solid. Especially at speed and over bumps.
  20. Used the Chevelle steel fenderwells on my 70 SS. LOVE THEM. Only slight difference in a few mounting holes.
  21. Take pictures!!! 😁 For some reason I thought I had super comps. The part number is 2455HK. They have the same primary size-2" and collector size-3.5" as the super comps. But looking at the pics they are 2455HK.
  22. I will find the part number and get it to you. I have a 70 SS454 With a 496.
  23. I have the ole hooker super comp headers. 2in primaries and 3.5 collectors. Fit fine. No denting or squashing of tubes.
  24. Small block or big block? Small block- behind the intake near the distributor. Big block- above the oil filter. Both are stock locations for the factory unit. Just replace the factory for the aftermarket.
  25. Hey T.J. Welcome to the club! I hope you find your unicorn! Doesn't seem impossible to find.
