I bought 2 BFG's last summer, yea I know maybe not the popular choice 🤣 But I needed something to match my rally wheels if I ever take the drag radials and aluminum wheels off. Otherwise nothing, the Monte is in hibernation. Putting elec fans on the blue oval, damn Cleve's run hot anyway so I am doing car stuff 🤣 Oh yea, we're supposed to get a cold front down here, might have to break out the hoodie

Thanks Rob, I always get a kick outta seeing Monte's posted out and about. Funny thing in the Sycamore thread, I posted a pic and it turned out to be Alan's (snomobeeir) Monte. He saw it and replied with "hey that's my Monte" 🤣

It seems to have a nice family history lol. At least they provided lots of pictures. I'll be interested of what the more knowledgabe members think. The only thing that popped out to me was the driver seat.

Yea a little pricey for me on a survivor. I wonder if the load leveler works? I didn't scrutinize the photos but what's up with the red wire to the alternator? I know probably a ground but really ?

The way I'm reading your directions, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, is you only need to add "parts" if your running "upgraded" ignition like MSD. The PO had a GM HEI on my 70SS454 when I bought it, The coil went bad and I replaced it with maybe a DUI maybe a another brand coil kit. The new crate also has a HEI no issues with the factory tach. My buddy gave me his MSD 6AL when he upgraded to the 7, when I researched doing the upgrade (still pending) there were a few extra parts I had to purchase to make it play well with the HEI.

Yea and next you'll have me pulling out the a/c compressor and rear seats, not happening 🤣 The car runs what it runs, the driver is the issue 🤣I keep running faster than I say I will and breaking out, got an app for that so now hopefully next year 🤞

Well with the other comments made I figured I'd better clarify my original post 🤣 I was mostly referring to the aesthetics of the kick panels, ie interfering with parking brake, and it is still a factory a/c car. Disclaimer also I do have an amp in the trunk, and usually set more from the back and passenger side for sound. And lastly I have maybe an hour of listening time since ive owned the Monte, I don't cruise around much so take it for what its worth

This is what the PO installed, sorry I'm not with the car and don't remember the brand of speakers. That being said I like the setup and sound. I think the panels came from OPGI. Might be more than you had in mind size wise, and it does interfere with the parking brake pad along with not being a straight shot for the headlight dimmer switch.

Crutchfield has good stuff and good customer service. If your using the aux plug for something like a thumb/flash drive read the specs, make sure your compatible with 2.0 or 3.0. Some don't play well with others 🙃
