  1. Could possibly be a starter going bad, heat soaked. But, I'd check the free stuff like grounds, cables, tighten starter mounting bolts, etc., first though. If you could whack the starter with a small hammer when it happens, that may help narrow it down.
  2. I still have a few of those as well, and clamp on ammeters too. Some day when I get out of this Lazy-boy chair, maybe I'll ebay them...
  3. Monte mirrors would mount with a stamped steel plate on the door itself, then the mirror would hook on & be secured with a single machine type screw from the back side of the pedestal mount. The ones in the ad have the studs attached to the pedestal and would be different. Doesn't appear to have the passenger side plastic pad/mount either, which is sometimes difficult to find, I seem to recall.
  4. I seem to recall scratching my head a little when I put mine back in at the time, since it was over a year since it had been removed. Couple that with a badly formed replacement window, and it was really confusing. Once they re-sent a better window, it was much more clear (pun, not intended)
  5. Holley, when I was using carbs. Did put a couple of Edelbrocks on customer cars over the years, seemed to work good. Still, Holley 95% of the time.
  6. Lately pics are hard to upload unless you re-size them a bit smaller, known issue. That being said, is it possible it's a replacement window someone had 'date coded', and they etched it wrong?
  7. I just went out & looked. Like Scott said, I can read it correctly from the outside of the car. What way is your etching?
  8. I'm not sure it's physically possible to put the window in backwards, there are subtle compound curves that would stop it from laying flat.
  9. No, that's C.K. and Rob. I'm working on the Ohio dealio 😁. EDIT: Call me when you get a chance, your number goes straight to VM
  10. Good, you saved us both a lot of time and effort. NOW, get moving on the Syracuse and the Ohio reservations!
  11. Like Jim mentioned, maybe a full size picture or two of the car may put it in better perspective.
  12. I think it's called " Guilt, by association"
  13. " What happens in Syracuse, stays in Syracuse"...
  14. All I hear are excuses....get those dates reserved! 😄
  15. Just found that they recently announced the dates for the 2023 Syracuse Nationals, one of the biggest shows in the country. As most may recall, we met up with C.K, Willie, & a few other members recently and it was a complete blast! Absolutely planning to attend next year and will get registered as soon as they open the window for that. C.K. & Rob are working on the possibility of securing a contract for better room rates, which will be a plus if that happens, but not a deal breaker if it doesn't - We're going regardless. I'll dig up the hotel info later, so people can start reserving rooms early. The only caveat with getting a club room rate (if they can secure one), would be the need to be a dues paying FGMCC member, some of which is for insurance purposes. It's only $25 for a year, the best spent money and bargain you'll encounter anywhere in these strange times. Start looking at these dates and plan your vacation requests for next year now! https://lite987.com/syracuse-nationals-2023-dates/ https://www.facebook.com/SyracuseNationals/
  16. Looks like they recently announced the dates for Syracuse. July 14,15,16-2023. Online registration starts October 3rd. I'll post this on it's own thread as well. https://lite987.com/syracuse-nationals-2023-dates/
  17. Thanks for the info Rob! I just called and reserved, will send you the required info in a bit.
  18. Don't you have a dog to tend to instead?
  19. I got ACC branded mats as well, dark saddle to match carpet. Picked both of them up from OC Carpets, was a lot cheaper than direct from ACC. Also got trunk mats, & carpets etc. for the Camaro from them too. Pretty happy so far. https://www.ocautocarpets.com/

    CLAMP-AID

I usually trim the excess length with tin snips, then smooth it with a file. I'll assemble it first though, mark it with a sharpie to get it nice & short, remove it, then cut, file & re-assemble. Usually I'll only leave a couple of slots showing, just enough to engage the strap thru the drive screw. I hate when I see that excess tail on those clamps.
  21. After David shows any interest, ya ambulance chaser 😁
  22. First, I'll see if he's even interested, then go up in the attic, sweat my butt off, unpack it & then take pics. No sense in getting off the couch if not warranted 😁. I shampooed it at the time & let it dry in the sun, as my initial plan was to re-use it. At that point though, everything else in the car was new, figured for a couple hundred bucks more, it was a no brainer.
  23. I have the one that came out of my 72 when I got it. When I did the resto, I replaced it with the ACC brand, with the extra backing material. It looks like it was a replacement carpet, pretty decent shape, and have the floor mats too. Depends if you want a 'perfect' new one for a full restoration, or a slightly used one for a daily driver type of situation. Not sure of the brand, but most likely an ACC as well.
  24. Its an ongoing problem. Try resizing them a little smaller first. If that doesn't work, or you don't know how, you can email them to me and I'll get them loaded.
