  1. Email me the pics Tom, I'll get them loaded up.
  2. Talked to my buddy this morning. He has to send the Sniper back again after talking to Holley tech. Fuel was pouring out the back two injectors this time. They don't have any units on the shelf to send him, severely backordered they said.
  3. I'm real good at finding people and information..... I rounded up most of the people on our list of lost people, that we served with in Europe back in the 80's to have a reunion. Just found another one last year. They jokingly say I could have another career as a P.I. 😄. You can run, but you can't hide...🧐
  4. Still keep Syracuse on your radar Mark, I don't think you'll be disappointed (I'm sure the other guys will back me up 200% on this one). Leaving the truck/trailer at the fairground is an option, but I think I'd prefer to have it all at the hotel. I guess it depends if they have security at the fairgrounds after hours to keep an eye on things. That doesn't mean stuff can't happen at the hotel either, but not my first choice, especially at a new/unknown venue.
  5. Good to know, thx. We're over 4 hours away though (as we discussed yesterday), likely we'd be staying a couple of days at any rate. Plenty of time to make a few phone calls to some of the hotels on the list for next year. I see they have a Fairfield in Sandusky, same chain as we use in Carlisle. A little farther, but not too bad, I may call there too.
  6. I'm not interested in camping, so that wouldn't apply in my case, but helpful info for others. By 'trailer', I meant car trailer parking at the hotels themselves. The hotels at Carlisle & Syracuse we use had ample & convenient parking for our trucks/car trailers which is an important consideration. I see the hotels you listed are pretty high on the top of the list that Summit Park has on their site. Hopefully someone who has attended the event & stayed at any area hotels can chime in with any details, good or bad about where they stayed. Thanks for the info. Here's their hotel list: https://summitmotorsportspark.blob.core.windows.net/sections/51/7f0a661a-0574-40f3-a6d5-2953601fd71f
  7. So, in preparation for next year, what was the general consensus for the weekend? Did people stay all 3 days, or mainly Friday/Saturday like Carlisle (looks like they have festivities on Sunday, which Carlisle doesn't). Is there a preferred hotel people are using? Does it have good trailer parking? I did see a large list of hotels available on the Motorsports Park website, but it ran the gamut of local, and out to Sandusky & beyond. Group rates available, or something that can be negotiated for next year, like C.K. is trying to do for the Syracuse show?
  8. If you resize the pictures, they should load on the forum. I shrink them about 50% lately and it seems to work. If that don't work, message me and I'll send you my email address, then I'll get them posted for you.
  9. 1) I don't use adhesive on mine. Too much of a pain to clean off down the road. 2) I have had the same problems with the push retainers they include with the weatherstrip. A trim screw would work, but I bought a box of plastic ones that work fine. Got them from my paint supplier locally, but probably available online. (ebay has them in multiple places for around $10-12 with free shipping) 3) I clean & grease the mechanisms when I'm in there. That old grease is 50 years old and typically hard.

  11. Car wouldn't run, he had to send it back to Holley, got it back, still doesn't run right. I haven't been there yet to troubleshoot it, but another shop next door to him was helping so far. Go to the Holley tech forums, do a little research. That being said, a lot of people like Larry have had good results. Still, if you plan on supercharging, I'd consider a more powerful unit than the Sniper. I currently have the Dominator series ECM on both my Monte & Z/28 with unlimited capabilities. Definitely overkill for my application, but it was the only one that had certain capabilities I wanted (dual oxygen sensor capability, transmission control). Chris at EFI System Pro may be someone to reach out to for recommendations as well. I've gotten a few things from them, and they were very knowledgeable. Holley has plenty of different systems/ECM's, and he may be able to suggest one that may be perfect for you. https://www.efisystempro.com/
  12. If you're supercharging, you may want to get a more powerful system from Holley than a Sniper. My buddy is in the midst of troubles with a Sniper system as we speak. The Holley forums are full of issues with that system, but possibly because of the sheer numbers of systems out there.
  13. I think I got a couple things from there, the business card looks familiar. Shipping rates were free, but typical ebay, built into the price.
  14. I wanted to use OEM, even got another used one from a member here, but that turned out to be worn beyond use. Ended up with a 'Restoparts' unit at the time from OPGI (yeah, I know, they suck, but had what I needed at the time). Summit has them though, and so far seems to work just fine. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/opg-c980007lh

Thanks Willie! Apparently there may not be too many more chips, cookies, tasty sweet drinks, etc in my future after going to the Dr. the other day for routine bloodwork 😔.

Finally did a little bit of work on the Camaro yesterday, last time I touched it was June 18th when I made up the spark plug wires. Visually not much different from then, but figured a picture would be nice. Did a little bit of wiring, filled the rear diff & transmission with their fluids, and filled and bled the new hydraulic clutch system. Maybe now I'll get a little more motivated soon. I keep telling myself (and others who ask about its progress), "Maybe next Monday I'll start working on it again, but now that I'm retired....every day is Saturday!" (Monday just never seems to come) 😁.
  21. Oh boy Dennis, so sorry for your loss. Our pets are part of the family, and unfortunately, they leave us too soon. The car can wait, you'll know when the time is right to get back to it. Again, very sorry 😞.
  22. The brown wire is the power feed from the fuse panel, underlined in yellow on the schematic. Dennis may confirm, as we had this discussion specifically about that brown wire at the time, when I sent that marked up print to him.
