It’s so weird at my age, someone can just say a word or phrase , or I can be in a situation, and a song comes to mind.. music can bless the soul.. calm the mind...

Can’t help but storm with this heat and humidity, stormed twice again yesterday,Friday, and again now 7 am today.. but nothing like Thursday night!.. next week supposedly a little relief...

Oh what a night ! An understatement. This storm comes Barreling in about 9 right at the edge of dark last night, blowing things everywhere,acting all bad. Ok, go ahead storm, get outta here.. ! Well. It didn’t, it decided to stick around. For 7 terrible hours!. Till 4 in the morning.. Heavy rain, terrible lightning ⚡️. Didn’t stop till 4 Am.. needless to say, no sleep, power goes off, sump pump on overtime till power goes off! Never have I seen a storm just stop in one spot. Started taking radar pictures at one am.. finally fell asleep after two.. pictures show it stayed in one location and finally dissipated about 4 am.. leaving almost 8 inches of rain..also one similar up north of Cincinnati, probably close to Dennis T.... all is well here in spite, at least we are safe this morning.. Ron..

It’s good this great club has eastern meets, western meets, numerous mini meets every year. Gives everyone a chance to attend in various parts of the country , all the meets are fantastic and give those attending an opportunity to meet and get to know other club members. To put a face and car to the site nicknames , not to mention all the fun !…Kudos to all those who spend their time organizing these special FGMCC meets and mini meets … Ron…

I went to the fiero site Joe T listed, there are some good points to consider, one being any “ Major “ modification automatically classes the car in modified. Example : complete engine conversions..There are still 3 judging classes however. Evidently they seem to be more lenient on qualifying for their middle class. Street. This is a good discussion, certainly wouldn’t want to emulate the fiero club, but I have full confidence in what our administration decides now that this has been brought up to the club. Whether it stays the same as now, or is more precisely detailed in class categories, I’m sure it will be best for all , new and senior membership.

This overflow “safety canister “ , works well. As you can see, goes over half full on a hot day, not spilling toxic antifreeze on the ground or highway.. I think I ordered it from the parts place ,but would have to look up receipt to be sure... holds about qt and half.. Ron...

My 71 has been labeled by one of the clubs officers as a “day Two “car, where you buy the car, make a few changes for your taste, but don’t go way inside modifying.. makes it difficult to qualify for street , and difficult to compete against a fully souped up modified beautiful car in the modified category.. I have long been an advocate of having more categories when it comes to judging... Note: that is not the main purpose of our events, but it is a morale booster knowing your work and taste are appreciated . There are others that can benefit from this good idea.. I hope that additional class is implemented.. Ron...
