Woke up the 71 and drifted up to Ohio yesterday for a good little car show. Nice turn out. Even got a couple pictures of potential members hovering around my 71 and a great shot of the inside of my trunk lid. Came in Top 20 in 1943-1996 class. Lot of competition!. To say the least. The last picture is of a Chevy nomad in excellent condition which took best of show. And we’ll deserved.

I’ve heard of stalking for members , but this is a little overboard Rob.. 🤣

Message cbolt get a picture of his. Saw it in somerset at the Eastern meet couple weeks ago.. impressive!...

Nice! And you got to see some other Monties. Worth the trip !

A much need rest after back surgery and having tooo much fun at the Fgmcc Eastern Meet In Somerset. Of all those trophies 🏆, this years is my favorite because it came from my FGMCC friends. And yes cbolt , I will bring it to the next meet 👍🏻😀!!..

Not sure if it posted on another section here, but here is the story . I’m sure you have a different version cbolt 🤣.In Bristol a few years ago I drug one of my larger trophies there to display with the 71. See picture below. Cbolt sees me and says “ Who the h—- is this guy!!!. I see him looking and he introduces himself as cbolt . So I think , what the H— is a cbolt?!. I’ve heard of a love bolt, hex bolt , lightning bolt ⚡️. But never have I heard of a CBOLT!!!!! To make a long story short . Cbolt at this years Meet wanted to make sure I got a trophy 🏆. So he goes and rounds one up locally in somerset to present to me at the awards banquet. It was a fun and laughter time for all!.

I remember listening to Bobby Goldsboro on the last 8 track I listened to, in a Chevelle . Ha!. Go figure!.. That sure is a beautiful Monte Carlo in that picture Canuck. Wish it were in my driveway, instead of yours . But , oh well…

I would like to take a moment and thank the administrators and staff of this wonderful club for the special recognition certificate I have received for my involvement in the 2023 Eastern Meet. It is truly appreciated very much. My wife and I did not consider this to be a job that had to be done, it was something we totally enjoyed doing , to prepare for this Eastern Meet. We had a blast truthfully, and now that it has come and gone , we hope that everyone who attended enjoyed the meet as much as we . It was a wonderful moment in time. We met so many good people. I may not remember all the names, but I shall never forget all of you. Hundreds of pictures have been taken of this Meet, and I’m sure those will be shared as time goes on. Let us not forget this Memorial Day , to give thanks for those who sacrificed, part or all of their lives, so that we could spend this moment in time, together.. Ron…
