Go to a scrap yard and get one off a junk car. You can buy new ones but you’re going to get four. I think gm used that “cap” for a lot of years.

The fan speed switch is different on the new one. It has a 5 position switch ( with off) the original one is 4 position (with no “off” function).

Yes it does. I don’t like the fact it only has one mounting hole. I glued a rubber bumper to the bottom of it so it doesn’t rattle. I like it. Good find.

So I have this decal. It’s 2 inches x 2 inches. Is that correct for the drivers door? And can someone please post a picture of an original one. I think it’s to big.

Joe,Willie and CK have already given me all the information and a couple of them are riding me like a bull at the rodeo. lol. Looks to be an awesome show and swap meet but I’m balking at the 9 hours of driving. I drive for a living and that’s the last thing I want to do on a vacation. lol. Still contemplating it though. I can make the hotel reservations and just cancel if I decide not to go. We shall see.

June looks to be around the Carlisle dates. July is the same as Syracuse ( don’t know if I’m going to get there) so possible.

It was on the intake but the one port was capped off. That was probably done when it was on the dyno.

Isn’t there a tool listing in the back of that catalog? I know the catalog you said inexpensive. Never mind.

Thanksgiving Tom and Joe. I now have heat. Broken port on the vacuum ball. But just the tip so the hose went on fine.

Here are pictures of mine. Lower alternator stud goes into block, bracket, spacer then the alternator. The bracket then bolts to the back of the alternator. If your alternator does not have a bolt hole in the back (probably reman of some sort) you won’t use the bracket but the you have to put a washer in the spot the bracket goes to keep the pullies (?) lined up. The bracket is to help keep the alternator stable.
