There ain’t enough whiskey to drink yourself blind. And that’s somethin’ you’ll never be able to “unsee”. Godspeed, Dennis.

On a side note, turns out I do have a Speedo suit from years ago. Rob has asked me to bring it so he isn't all alone. How could I deny a 'Presidential' request? Get ready to poke your eyes out people... i just threw up in my mouth.

    My View Today

Wish I could’ve been at a cruise or show today, but since some folks can’t seem to behave (yes, even on Fathers Day) my day off was canceled. So I got to play Dog Chauffeur and wandered the city waiting to be deployed. Turned out to be an uneventful day and I got to wash the squad and take Mr. Mongo for a couple nice walks. Couldn’t have worked out better. Something tells me the boys on the afternoon and evening shifts aren’t going to be so lucky.
  4. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there in FGMCC Land. Enjoy your day!

    Comes in threes

That looked like a wicked storm. Glad to hear the important things were pretty much unscathed.
  6. The pix I loaded yesterday wouldn’t load several times. I had to take a screenshot of each one (hence the black borders) and then they finally loaded. No clue why that worked after I tried using both Wi-Fi and cellular 🤷🏼‍♂️Only one original pic loaded, while others with less gigs wouldn’t.
  7. I’m sure hoping so seeing that he also used to own a ‘71 SS. Pulling it off today he was kinda scratching his head as to why there was a metal gasket directly under the carb and THEN a regular gasket on top of a heat shield (and then another gasket between the shield and manifold). Earlier, he also determined that the secondaries were dumping fuel when they shouldn’t be. Won’t lie… After she warmed up yesterday she ran pretty damn nice. So if she runs good with a carb that needs work, I can’t wait to see how she runs with proper carburetion. I’ll definitely keep you posted how she runs once it’s all back together.
  8. Thank you Willie! What I lack in mechanical skills I make up for with camera skills 😂
  9. Thanks, but none of it was my doing except writing the check 😂🤣. But you can bet your [censored] that I will do my best to maintain it correctly. Speaking of which, pulled the carburetor off today to have my guy rebuild it… which is why I made sure to get a nice ride in yesterday. She ran great once warmed up, can’t wait to see what proper carburetion does…
  10. Actually had a few free hours last night and the weather was perfect. Was able to put about 40 miles on her and grabbed some pix before the sun went down.

Damn pix never come across in order, sorry.

    Today’s project

My project today… The 70 is in the trim shop for the new interior. Which means the law of unintended consequences dictates the garage bar gets put into use. So the 71 goes across the alley where the Crown Vic usually resides while the garage got swept and hosed out and the bar and stools and electronics get their annual wipe off. Mongo keeps a watchful eye on things once completed while Hagrid says “IDGAF”.

Dennis, did you insulate before you hung that siding? Because something tells me you’re gonna be sleeping out there come winter time if Karen doesn’t have a spot in the garage by then.

    New Guy Here

Well done, Joe. And here I thought stopping to change a flat for an older gentleman the other day while working my day off was gonna help get me through the Pearly Gates when my number gets called. Again… solid move and a tip of the ol’ chapeau to you, good sir.
  17. Yes it is wrong. The PO stole 10 ponies from you 🤣😂. If you decide to order the correct “Turbo Jet 360 HP” decal, get it from somewhere other than OPGI. When I purchased the correct air cleaner for my 70, decals weren’t included so I added both to an order from OPGI. Put them on and didn’t notice until a short time later that the gold border that is also supposed to separate the “Turbo Jet” and “360” is missing. Didn’t matter anyway… The air cleaner wouldn’t fit with the aftermarket carb that is on the car presently. So that air cleaner will be salted away until the car is returned to her former/original glory at some point after I retire.
  18. Hell, upon looking at the diagram again it says that “ALL EXCEPT MONTE CARLO” use the plastic elbow 🤷🏼‍♂️
  19. Sounds right from what I’ve seen and read regarding the big blocks having the flexible tubing. What I recently learned is that our Montes use just a clamp to hold the tubing on the snorkel, whereas Chevelles have a 90 degree plastic elbow between the tubing and snorkel…

  21. Way cool ride, Jared. All you have to do is wire a foghorn.
  22. Testing… testing… one two three , four Ok, I’m officially prepared to extend my share of motivational bananas. No doubt Dennis will have created a very a’peelin’ Monte when it’s all finished. So quit monkeyin’ around and get back to turnin then wrenches.
  23. I just threw up in my mouth. 🤢🤮
