G71
1971 350 i just went to wallmart and entered the information for choosing the proper battery, it showed two sizes one being slightly larger than the other. will the larger one fit? my battery has the "side post" mounts (flat discs) i was just curious if this standard on our cars or if someone modified it in the past i usually choose my batteries based on consumer reports recommendations thank you

G71
any series/size recommendations?
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
I'm going to say either one. I bought my last one from Les Schwab and they offered a larger case and smaller case for the same year. I selected the larger that used up entire battery box and fit. Just sat closer to radiator is all. Also a side post! Doug

MC-71
The larger one is correct. Fits the whole battery tray. Don't know the number off hand. Side mount is correct.
cny first gen 71
I mesured the tray on mine and got the biggest one they had available that fit, I think it an 880 cca it works fine.
71MonteCarloMD
I bought mine from Costco, the smaller didn't work well in cold weather so I exchanged it for heavy duty (bigger) one which works great for me.
Blake350
Thats always the best bet especially with our V8's... the biggest one the tray will hold-as they say "its all about CCA" well maybe 'they' dont say it,but it makes sense to me!!
