Monteman1971
Maybe someone can answer this...... If I take a stock 118cc big block head and mill it .025, what does that make the combustion chamber now? Thanks, Steve
wallaby
My 119cc merlin heads gave an average figure of 1cc for every .007 removed. I'd guess you'd have around 114-115cc.

Sam (Bones)
watch your intake fit, take-off too much and you'll need to have the intake done too
monte70car
As Sam said about the intake been there done that got lucky and the local parts store paid to have my intake shaved the thickness of the intake gasket.
Monteman1971
Those are my current cast heads and yes the intake had to be milled as well. I'm in the middle of getting myself together for my aluminum head swap and just wanted to see if the new aluminum heads that are 110cc's was going to change my compression ratio. Turns out the stock 71 big block heads are 113cc's. Which would mean they are also 110cc now. Oh..and eventually I'm going to try to sell my current manifold. It's an Edelbrock Performer RPM (not an air gap)that has been milled .030.
