maddmann313
I got some paint on my chrome in some places, and Im getting it painted and I was wondering if there was a way to take that paint off of it and not ruin the chrome and make it look like new again? 7tonemonte
If its just some minor overspray, try using a claybar. If its just on your bumpers, try MEK or Lacquer thinner, it wont hurt the chrome. Id try not to use steel wool as the fibers from that lay on the other parts of your car and rust, which leaves stains. If you have to go that route, try brass wool, it will not rust. Sam (Bones)
the lower body trim and wheel well moldings are anodized alum, don't use anything abrasive on them, you'll damage the finish on them

Jared Richey
BRILLO or steel woolwill not scratch stainless or chrome. I even use it on glass, no scratches. Do not use an SOS, and don't even use brillo on that soft aluminum Sam spoke of. A Brillo/Steel wool will work wonders on chrome or stainless with years of junk and buidup.
