  2. You mentioned those lower corner pieces. Is there a good source for those as both of mine are missing. In black of course.
  3. Thank you. I love all cars , it's a sickness. I enjoy bringing them back around as were these that needed some love. These three were very solid cars without rust. The Impala still has the factory red oxide primer on the floors. The 442 was a Fremont CA build which I found the build sheet when replacing the tank when it had been sitting in a garage for twenty five years. It still retains the original vinyl top, one repaint. The Monte SS was bought in Scottsdale AZ, I have the protecto and the build sheet which I have posted previously, never any rust and all original metal. I also have a '58 Cameo and several other Chevy trucks and a couple Vettes. My two remaining builds are the '72 Vista with a W25 hood and my '67 SS/RS Camaro rag that I replaced all GM metal over the counter in the early 1990's when quarters were $239. I still want a '66 442 post and a '70 442 rag. Need more garage space, lol. Peace
  4. Did a couple shows this weekend with another club member (Jason). Saturday car show in Summerland Sunday car show in West Kelowna. We had a little rain and even some hail (soft hail, no damage). I dried off the car 3 times today. IMG_2637.mov
  5. Very nice line-up you have there. You can host your own car cruise any day of the week. rob
  6. OPGI or CARS Inc may have them. Be sure you get the proper colour. The mesh style ones are not factory. Here’s mine but note I have not painted my grills to match.
  7. I think I'd have better luck getting a straight panel with scotch brite than I would letting my friends help 😡
  8. I made one out of Masonite for my car. Used old one as a pattern much better than cardboard.
  9. Thanks for the info. Where do you purchase the tray? Which type do you recommend? .
  10. It is original to have 6x9s mounted from underneath and speaker grills on top. The grill colour should match the package tray. It takes time but not difficult. The back seat, armrest and rear door panels need to come off. Remove speakers and grills. Remove the rear defogger if you have one. Remove the two small corner pieces at the lower corners of the rear window. Be careful as these corner pieces can be brittle and break. The package tray should be able to be pulled out at this point. There should be some jute padding under the cardboard tray. You can decide if you want to reuse that or buy new padding. Install the new package tray and get it lined up where it should be. Make sure it is right before you cut the speaker holes. I drill the 4 holes for the speaker grill studs first. Then install a screw and nut in the 8 holes to keep the tray in place while I get a sharp knife to cut the speaker holes. Cut the rear defogger holes if necessary. Install speakers and rear defogger. You will need to glue down the vinyl to the sheet metal behind the seat. I use contact cement for this. Reinstall the rest of the interior. Take your time and make sure it is lined up right before cutting holes.
  11. How difficult is it to replace the package tray? Mine has two 6Γ—9 speaker grills on the top, is this original, or we're the speakers mounted underneath without a grill? My tray needs replacing and I would like it to be as original looking as possible.

  13. Should be flat like the light, all the way around. You should be able to use the marker light gasket as a guide.
  14. Kevin, what a beautiful trio of cars!! They are beautiful!!!
  15. Very cool Bruce!!! Extremely cool car, she is beautiful!!!!
  16. Hey Mark, if I remember right, one of the "Fast and Furious" movies did their opening sequence in Puerto Rico...... Can't remember which one though. There's been soooo many. LOL
  17. Pretty bizarre the studios picked such a rare car. At first I thought maybe Puerto Rico was like Cuba with a lot of older American iron. Not the case, apparently Toyota Corolla is a number 1 seller. They also have quite a car culture there.
  18. Had to flip my laptop upside down to watch it.... Looks like it was filmed in Puerto Rico.
  19. Thank you Bruce. we don't have facebook or any kind of social media. lucky to have this form of communication. Again thank you for everything. Been beat down too many times throughout my life. think i'm gonna give this up too. thank you, thank you all.
