    Newbie 1970

Note that the bumper filler panel was silver from the factory, not body colour.

    Newbie 1970

That is the upper mount for the headlight extensions. This is for 1970 only.
  6. Great to have you on board. Glad you already were able to find some needed and hard to find parts for your Monte. I’ve only been a member for 9 months and I’m on this site every day. Definitely one of my best investments.
  7. Just getting used to using the member site everyone. hello and may I give you all a fine bunch of monte carlo's everyone has. I admit my two are treated so admiringly by myself it's almost kills me to drive them. guess just worried about crazy drivers these days. bugs and rock chips too! I mostly just polish polish and more polishing. Should anyone come across a fair driver and arn't interested in it for yourselves I would be. would consider any of our 3 years. After joining and seeing member rides and project rides I'm going to divest myself of my collection of non first gen vehicles and be specifically first gen, should have been finding and doing that the last 40 plus years. wasted alot of time and money when i realize my heart is first gen to the bone. Again everyone you all have some beautiful gems and i'm very proud to be part of something again. thank you
  8. Thats more of a spoiled banana green 🤣

  11. I’m not sure what this part is?
  12. Front inner fenders were plastic on Monte Carlos and steel on Chevelles, they are supposed to be Inner changeable.
  13. From the factory they are plastic they are outter wheel houses for rear.

    Newbie 1970

Couple questions guys….. are these supposed to be plastic or metal ?
  17. I’d drive it!!! Oh yeah
  18. It’s not easy because green. lol.
  19. That plate made all the difference!!!
  20. Beautiful Monte and that front plate really dressed it up even more. Looks like it arrived a day early. rob
  21. Very nice. I have a 72 but I’m not partial to it. Yet. lol. It’s green. 😂
  22. I do have the build sheet and various other documentation. I am on the road, but I will post those on Saturday when I get home. This was a customer ordered car.
  23. The only option delete code I could find is for the heater which was used through 1968. I think when a car came standard with power steering or power brakes and the buyer specified to delete it, he would receive back in the price of the vehicle what it would cost to install the options on a car that didn't come with them. But I can't find any codes that would pertain to deleting these options. I would assume the dealership placing the order would have to specify to the factory that it wasn't wanted and when the build sheet was put together the correct codes were put in the boxes.
