  1. I can picture you, rolling down A1A, jamming out to your Nutcracker cassette. I bet the babes went wild for that back in the day!
  2. For those reasons i would leave it alone
  3. Working on aircraft my whole professional career the torque specs were always followed to the letter and witnessed by a quality inspector. That habit has always carried over to vehicle maintenance for me. Having said that in this case I would go with the higher torque spec as well simply because the danger from over torque would likely be stressing the bolt itself so you would need to replace it in the event you have to remove it for maintenance, which most folks do anyway just like cylinder head bolts. Under torque could cause the bolts to vibrate loose, which is much more trouble and something I have seen over the years.

    Vehicle Insurance

USAA has been very, very good to me over the years. I have heard for new customers the premiums were higher, however the service you get from them in the event of a claim is pretty much immediate and more than fair. I have everything through them which helps as well with the rates. Not only that but every year I get a December profit share refund that normally covers my bill for the month.
  5. I think Jared sold a car on consignment. You may want to check with him because if that is the case he has told me it was worth it.
  6. if that's the case it isn't a Julian date. Thats all I was saying
  7. That cannot be a Julian date because it would reset to the next year. Jan 30 would be obviously 1030 in the Julian calendar
  8. Welcome aboard! Great to see another Floridian join up. If you have been a fan on these cars since 18 then you have definitely found the right place for advice, tech data, how-to knowledge, vehicle history and others with the same passion as you for the Monte Carlo.

I love me some Lynyrd Skynyrd. The pride of Jacksonville after all.
  10. I think its Accel that makes the shorty plugs that work well with my headers. They are available through Amazon and other places as well.
  11. I used superbright automotive to purchase mine. In the description of each LED bulb it will state whether or not they are dimmable. Just search superbright automotive and you will be able to select the bulbs you need.
  12. Looks great Bob! We need to meet up somewhere for a cruise in or something. Hey, are you planning on attending the Turkey Run this year? I am sure there are car shows and cruise ins and whatnot in the Deland/Deltona areas which is roughly halfway between us and a not so bad drive.
  13. What I did on my installation was thread the outer bolts in from the bottom up which made for easy installation/removal of both the stock seats and the procars. Just put the mounts on the posts and thread a nut on top. I have taken the seats in and out a few times now over the years and doing that with the outboard mounts really speeds up the process.
  14. They do. I installed them to make the car more friendly over a long day of driving. The seat track throw is longer than stock and those seats recline all the way back if needed, unlike the stock seats. They are just a bit more narrow than the original equipment however.
  15. Those are ProCar scat 90 seats. I got mine from amazon but you can get them through JEGS or Summit. the hard part for me was getting the proper brackets. The ones that should fit do not and I had to have mine modified to mount the seats in the stock holes
  16. I have a full set MINUS the left side outer brace, the small arm that connects the lowest outside bumper bolt to the left bracket. It was rusted and i pitched it years ago. You are welcome to everything else. If you pm me your px I can send you pics of the parts. They do have surface rust and have been sitting on my garage floor for 8 years I think.
  17. Same seats as mine! they are so comfortable.
  18. I had to look it up but you are not too far at all. Ill check my inventory tomorrow and see what i have for rear bumper brackets
  19. i may have a set doing nothing at the moment. Let me do some digging.
  20. Linda and I really enjoyed the EM in Somerset. If I'm being honest I am a little jealous that you got to go to another Somernites Cruise. Thanks again for making that happen Ron.
  21. it may be ugly now, but it was somebody's baby once.
  22. try applying pressure downwards on the outside handle while pushing the button. When mine sticks that seems to fix it Oh I see it doesn't open from the inside either. Ugh nevermind
